I was here with my partner just to go somewhere different and I'm really glad we chose this hotel.

Service was great, rooms were fine - yes they need a bit of updating but the linen was new and they were really clean - and the location is great for a night out! The noise is nowhere near as bad as some people are saying!

Would definitely stay here again.

We stayed in Carlisle for two nights. This is a great hotel but is a little tired. The breakfast was good but the rooms need a little TLC. They were clean and the beds were comfy. We would stay here again

Do not go by their website its fraudulent and misleading. They say nothing about the noisy drunk nightlife, lack of customer service, cold room's, no heating no hot water, the bed was like sleeping on rock's, floor boards loud from room above, Reception staff had lack of enthusiasm or willing to help.
The noise from the night life was sooo loud it kept me awake all night.
The car park is soo unsecure you risk even leaving your car there over night.
We didnt dare eat breakfast in the morning after how dirty the hotel was.
The carpets had holes in them and sick stains from people were they have obviously been out on the town.
All in all very very disappointed and will definitely NOT be staying again.
Wish I slept in my car would of been more comfortable.

Comfortable and very convenient for city centre

Clean on the surface but not thoroughly clean, under sink basin and base of toilet not clean. Sides and edge of bedside table sticky. Needs to up its cleaning standards to all corners not just on the tops.

Breakfast was good and adequate.

stayed here for 1 night paid extra for upgraded room dread to think what non uprated rooms were like. i had room 105 i couldnt get shower to work there were hand prints not cleaned off tiles. mirrors wasnt clean. and ill fitting bath front was thick with dust along top also bathroom light was broken-cracked badly. cleaner should be sacked. room was dark and view from window was wall and other rooms. upside was bed was clean breakfast was good and parking was included. staff were friendly but hotel needs to up its game i only stayed 1 night and seen all this wouldnt reccomend there are better hotels for your money. main issue is get new cleaner.

Room Tip: ask for quiet room thats been cleaned properly

What do I expect from a hotel? A clean comfortable room, teas/coffee/biscuit tray, well appointed bathroom, peace and quiet at night. Did I get these here? Absolutely I did. Ok, the outside looks a little "tired", the stair cases could do with being refurbished, but there is a reassuring smell of paint around the place, and certainly my room was very well decorated. In this day and age, internet connections are important, and this hotel provides a no hassle service, access to the internet anytime.

Room Tip: Make sure you see the ceiling in the bar room, never seen anything like it before!
