My wife and I had got rid of our boy on a d of e weekend, so thought a nice meal is on the cards and booked up for this restaurant, it's so busy but they had space for two for 18.30, which suited us, we were shown to our table buy a very friendly staff member, but all of the staff looked after us through the meal, which I found good, first came the popadoms and dip, followed by the proper starter of what looked like a spring roll and nicely spiced potatoes, the main course was individual dishes of venison chicken vegetable and dall curries, with a bowl of boiled rice done nice and fluffy, afters was a good fruit salad selection, topped with cream yum yum, all this washed down with a good condition Colchester brewery no1 bitter, blinking lovely, the set menu was £15.00 per head, afterwards we went into the bar and tried the growler which was also in good condition, a thoroughly enjoyable evening, made nicer by the friendly and attentive staff, the curries were exactly to my taste spicy with a nice tingle on the tongue, brilliant.

We tried this place as somewhere different.
You do not get a choice of menu, the waiter tells you what you are getting. It's a 3 course meal, with main course consisting of 3 different curries, dahl and some naan bread. Very tasty and not too hot. Very reasonable pricing too.
Will def return & recommend.

This is the only other place than the guy on the market that cooks curry properly. Forget ALL the other Indians that have 50+ items on the menu, you get what you're given here and it's bloody good. Only caveat is it's not so good for vegetarians, they might want to address this.
