“Sunday lunch”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed December 18, 2013 via mobile

Went for an impromptu Sunday lunch and it was really lovely. Great selection of dishes and all delicious. Lots if lovely fresh veg and really good roast beef! Only downfalls - We sat in the bar so I had a nice view of men going in and out of the toilet and when you sit in the main dining room you get the ladies!

“Relaxed atmosphere - good service”

The restaurant is comfortable and welcoming and the staff pleasant and friendly. The food was good and we were not rushed at all. The staff strike the right balance between being friendly and being efficient. Recommended!

“Pleasantly surprised.”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed December 13, 2013

The appearance of the Treble Tile from outside does not do it justice. You must go and have alook like we did. It was friendly, warm (with a lovely fire glowing )the decor was light and cheerful. Our table had space around it. We were well looked after but not over the top. The food was great, hubby and I had Skate Wings, and our friends had Venison and Salmon.
Of course we had to look at the Desserts... Apple and Prune turnover with honeycomb ice cream
was a hit. the creme brulee and a sorbet... All enjoyed with a beer and wine.
Thank you Treble Tile we had a lovely evening and we will be returning.

“Good food. Reasonable prices. Friendly and informal atmosphere”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed December 12, 2013

Went here for a last minute Sunday lunch with friends. The service was friendly and efficient and the food was great. Started off with some deep fried camembert followed by the roast beef and veg, all washed down with a couple of pints of bitter. Really nice atmosphere in the building. We'd phoned ahead to say there would be a baby with us and the high chair was set up in position at the table when we arrived, which was great. Lots of car parking outside too. Bill was reasonable - would definitely recommend and will visit again.

“A well-deserved reputation”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed December 7, 2013

I was so engrossed in my own starter of perfect kedgeree, main course of imaginative and succulent pork fillet stuffed with apricots and pistachios and a pudding (which I hadn't intended to have but couldn't resist) of delicious orange creme brulee that I couldn't tell you what my companions ate but we all five agreed that this was a really good meal in welcoming, pleasant and stylish surroundings.
The staff sensibly advised us, when we booked, that a large party was arriving at 8pm so we knew to arrive promptly at 7.30 and order speedily. The friendly but discrete staff on duty on this Saturday evening were very busy but efficient enough to find time to ask if we needed anything else, which, when we did, arrived very promptly.
A basket of good bread with oil and balsalmic vinegar for dipping helped to stave off hunger pangs - not that we had to wait very long at all for our food.
There is a good wine list (many available by the glass) and a very decent selection of beer on offer.
I have been wanting to eat here for many years and this restaurant lived-up to all my pent-up expectation.
I reckon that you will spend about £30 per head all-in and it's well worth every single penny.
