“Nice stay”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 8, 2013

Booked this for just before Christmas so the pub was pretty packed, nice hotel though easy check in, if the pub is not your scence the hotel is close to a row of shops which is handy (including a fish and chip shop).
My stay was a Friday night, car was safe in car park didn't have breakfast but previous stays in Prem inns breakfast was good.

My job means I have to stay away at least 2 x nights a week, usually in Premmy Inns.

Brecks has always been a favourite of mine as I know I can be sure of efficient / fast check-in, well above average restaurant for evening meal, a snooker hall and mini-mart next door and of course the excellent beds. Special mention for the lovely guy who runs the restaurant at breakfast ... well done Antonio ... Whitbreads owe you a debt of gratitude! All food is cooked to order rather than left to languish in those dreadful stainless steel food coffins one so often sees and nothing is too much trouble. If all Premmy Inns were this good? Sigh ... if only!

we ve now visited all but one ot this groups stores(they re vals favourite shops) but to go to the two at grantham and sheffield we needed an overnight stay.having started to use premier inns last year i booked this one because it was only 4.5 miles from the sheffield store which in turn was just off 35 of the M1 which meant we were on our way home as soon as we left the store.we booked in about 6 pm and were greeted by a friendly receptionist who offered to book us a table in the pubs restaurant because it gets very busy on a saturday night but we opted to just find a table in the bar to have our meal.the food was reasoably priced and very good and the staff were very friendly and efficient and there was a good selection of affordable drinks from the bar.our room was warm and comfortable and we had a good nights sleep and as i ve come to find nowadays premier inns are good value for money.

I stayed for one very cold and snowy night on business and slept really well. The staff were most helpful in re-allocating me a ground floor room when I did not want to climb 3 flights of stairs. Rooms are quiet and comfortable with a great flat screen television.
The entrance area is a little shabby, which is a shame as the rest of the hotel is not.
I have written a review on th Beefeater Grill website as I was not happy about the dining experience here, which let down a good hotel.

Room Tip: No lift so ask for a ground floor orf irst floor room if you do not want to climb stairs wih luggage

Excellent stay. Visited Rotherham with my son and stayed two evenings. Reception staff were wonderful, very friendly and helpful. I had no idea of the area and my son wanted to go to the cinema on one of the days we were staying. The lady (can't remember name) was so helpful in providing information of how to get to meadow hall by public transport (as that's how we wanted to travel). Nothing was too much trouble. It was very easy to catch a bus into Rotherham interchange then get another bus out to meadow hall. The breakfast was excellent as was the evening meal purchased via the meal deal offer. (Beefeater Restaurant) All the restaurant staff were very friendly and efficient service.

Room Tip: we stayed in room 27 on the 1st floor which over looked the car park No noise and very happy with th...

Have stayed here overnight on business a few times and its been most pleasant. There is a Sainburys very close by for bits and bobs. The hotel staff were really nice and polite. The rooms i have had have always been clean and in quite good condition. Given the choice between here and Premier Inn St Marys in Sheffield after a recent stay there, I plan to continue making the extra short journey from Rotherham when i need to visit Sheffield

Excellent stay, value for money. Breakfast on Sunday best I've had for ages but Mondays was dry and swimming in grease (part pre-cooked)?. Chef must have had a hangover from night before or different person. Overall very good and did not want to spoil what was a nice weekend by complaining about the below par breakfast. You also worry what additional ingrediants you might get in your replacement meal! Evening meal very good but for a steak house maybe a bit expensive. Takeing all into concideration would certainly recommend. Staff friendly and helpful, rooms clean. Would stay again.
