Why would reception close for lunch surely someone could cover for an hour would be a idea to state what time it it reopens after lunch instead of keeping people guessing

Nice little place, site is lovely and the onsite food is a pleasure. ...Warning ...dogs are NOT allowed to swim in the dam. There is a local bye-law which states that no animals are allowed in the dams. Dog owners can and will be heavily fined. Remember that there are a large number of anglers who pay a great deal of money to fish here.

Took my daughter for a bike ride. Thrybergh is a lovely park. There's not much for the kids in terms of play areas but it's a lovely sized park to walk around and is pretty much flat for the kids on bikes. The views are really nice and plenty of wildlife for the kids to spot. Will try and make it a regular trip as it's not too far away, the price to park is great and there's a nice grassed area for a picnic.

There is a great cafe here very good food, flat walk round the lake, only £1.50 to park, kids play area and sand pit. Little shop and very clean loos. There is also a caravan site which was very busy.
Will visit again.

The trail around the reservoir is one sand three quarter miles round and at the end of the walk you can have a meal and drink in the cafe. There is a gift shop and toilets plus a caravan/camping site. So much to do in such a small area. Visit soon for a great day out!
