Had a few bar meals here and must say it is cheap, and fairly good value for money. But no way is it great.
Good things like home made chips, but that last time I ate here, last week, the chips were under cooked and hard in the middle. Not being able to cook chips correctly is not good!
The ham sandwich was ok but basic, cheap pappy bread. The salad accompaniment was a joke, a small piece of lettuce, 2 slices of pepper and a quarter of a small tomato, no dressing.
Don't get me wrong, for an up market transport cafe this is good, but no way is it 5 stars and restaurant.
Also they have Timmy Taylors Landlord, which is not kept very well at all, so sometimes it’s good, sometimes it’s bad!
