“Blown away by the splendour of this house”
Reviewed February 9, 2013

After waiting many years visited Wentworth Woodhouse at last yesterday. The tour was excellent and really informative and it was fascinating to see a mixture of renovated room and work in progress. Very moving to see this beautiful beautiful place being carefully loved and nursed back to health - a mammoth undertaking for which everyone in the country should be grateful. The staircase was just one of a number of rooms and areas that simply took my breath away. I will very certainly be back - again and again I suspect

“Local Stately Home”
Reviewed February 6, 2013

I lived locally to Wentworth Woodhouse for many years, and knew the surrounding area like the back of my hand, but only today, did I see inside this wonderful house. We began the tour around an area designed to show us parts of the house that were being repaired, and rooms which showed the house as it used to be, in all their magnificence, this is a brilliant 1 hour tour, and well worth the cost. Thanks a lot Bob, for your detailed tour, you are a star, we will be back.

“A hidden gem. Well worth a visit”
Reviewed February 1, 2013

I have been on two of the tours now and am planning to go again in the next couple of months.

Both the house and the stable block are very beautiful to look at but the tour really brings things together with an insight into the history of the house including some more current background when it was the Lady Mabel College.

The guides have an encyclopaedic knowledge of both the house and the history and are able to present it in an interesting manner and really bring it to life. It is obvious that all of the staff have a love for Wentworth Woodhouse, it isn't just an assignment.

There are also some good walks in the area and an excellent garden centre just around the corner.

“Do the house tour!!”
Reviewed January 29, 2013

A great insight into a piece of history right on my doorstep.
We went there before Christmas and the house was decorated as it would have been for many years.

A good area for walking and the views of the house are amazing. There is information about the buildings and the owners of the house easily available on the Internet. The local area has interesting pubs and restaurants.
