Stayed here 1 night, The room value for money was very good I stayed room only 1 reason breakfast wasnt served until 7:30 so being that its 20min + to Rotherham from this hotel I wouldn't arrive on site till after 8:15 - 8:30 so tradespeople take this into consideration.

The Room was very good clean tidy with Bath & Shower En-Suite. Theres plenty of wardrobe space and the room is equipped with Tea Coffee facilty, Corby Trouser press Hairdrier Flat screen TV Telephone Radio Alarm clock & Air conditioning.

couple of issues made my 1 night not entirely a breeze.

The Shampoo Bodywash container was empty,
I was asked if I require an alarm call I said yes please and requested 06:45 however I didnt get a call.
On of the cups had a broken handle.
Wi-Fi signal was very weak and so was the mobile phone signal but of course thats not the hotels fault and other rooms and networks will vary.

The hotel was easy to find and has a good large, free car park quite close to the M18.

My room (216) was very large with a super king size four poster, sofa, 2 easy chairs and a desk for working on. The bathroom was also large with a double sink, bath and separate shower. The bed was a bit hard but I had a good night sleep even so.

The restaurant menu was rather dull and I thought was rather over priced - eg 1 fishcake was £5. I had steak the first night which although it was perfectly cooked was tough and not very tasty. The second night I had the so called Thai red Chicken curry which was very bland with no heat and very little Thai flavourings. The restaurant needs a definite makeover with the table top fo where I was seated for breakfast being held together by sellotape.

The breakfast could do with more variety and better ingredients - the bacon was the saltiest I have ever eaten and there were no hash browns or black pudding.

If I stayed again - because of the room and location - I would definitely eat elsewhere for dinner and probably not bother with the breakfast.

Room Tip: Choose one of the suites

Me and my wife had our wedding reception here on the 28th July and the service from the hotel and especially our wedding planner was faultless from start to finish.

We booked 3 years in advance and Sarah the wedding planner made us feel so welcome from the first day she showed us around the hotel (every room in the entire hotel) We had numerous planning meetings throughout the three years and whenever we had a question she was more than happy to meet up even if it meant her staying later that her working hours!!

We were allowed to store the things we needed for the banqueting suite the day before so it was not as crazy on the day.
As soon as we arrived on the day and saw our function room we were amazed, attention to detail was brilliant everything that we wanted was there, including GOLDFISH!

Our wedding meal service was carried out so professionally and calmly and the food was top notch, including the evening buffet!

We had the bridal suite (4 poster) for two night, the room was perfect for a bride and groom.
They did a special buffet breakfast for us as we had booked out the entire hotel. All food was a high quality hot and was always been brought out fresh.

Sarah the wedding planner made the day soooo special for us. We could not have asked for a better wedding planner.

WOULD HIGHLY RECCOMEND!!!!

We were here for a Saturday evening for an overnight stay. The room and en suite were a good size, very clean and well equipped. Service was friendly and helpful, with hard-working staff.. Breakfast was very good with plenty of choice and well served. However, the cofee might be too strong and bitter for some tastes and the toast was still lily-white. Bar prices seemed fairly steep. I would have rated the hotel more highly but the location isn't great - not attractive - and there was a lot of noise from people outside, presumably guests of one of the two receptions taking place which both had VERY loud dscos -talking loudly at the tops of their voices till well after midnight. Also we had problems with the centralised booking system - not the fault of the hotel but still didn't make a good impression. Why can't customers just book direct with the hotel? It would be much more efficient.

Room Tip: from our experience a room at the front may be noisy.

Date of stay 10-11 July 2012
We booked in for one night dinner bed and breakfast and had upgraded to an executive room. When we arrived we were given a free upgrade to a suite as we have a Best Western rewards card.

The room was large and pleasant with excellent WiFi. The suite had a large bathroom with a Jacuzzi bath and two wash hand basins.

When we tried to fill the bath we found that not only did the Jacuzzi not work but the bath leaked all over the bathroom floor. We reported this to the receptionist as we were concerned that we might flood the room below. We were told that she could not disturb the manager who was in a meeting and not to worry about flooding the room below. At no time did anyone come to the room to check the condition of the bath.

As the bath did not work we tried to have a wash and discovered that in one of the wash hand basins the plug mechanism closed but then would not open so it was very difficult to empty. We also realised that we had been given two bath towels but no hand towels.

We then went down to dinner. For our main course we chose a “six ounce rump steak with a tomato and onion compote and crispy French fries”. We asked for these to be cooked rare.

What we got were two well-done steaks with a whole cooked tomato, battered onion rings and chunky chips. We also received a bowl of broccoli and carrots. When we mentioned that the steak was well-done the waitress giggled and said “oh dear”. We also mentioned it to the manager who said that as the steak was thin it was not possible to cook it rare, even though he had taken the order.

In the morning we tried to take a shower and found that the shower control was so stiff it was very hard to turn it on requiring two hands and a great deal of effort. There was also a leak in the shower hose so that water shot out at right angles.

We reported this to reception when we were checking out and suggested that the hotel have a close look at the suite before they put any more customers in it. Nobody apologised and no one in authority appeared to talk about the state of the room.

Overall this is a hotel appears to be in desperate need of effective management and training for the staff in customer care.
