Stayed in this hotel bank hotel Easter weekend for 3nights and had a fantastic time. Hotel has just been refurbished to a high standard. As soon as we arrived in reception we were made to feel very welcome and directed to our room. When we opened the door we were extremely impressed by the decor and the warm feeling in the room. There is free Internet in the rooms and a nice plasma TV.On our first morning we headed down for breakfast and having stayed in many holiday inn express's expected the normal run of the mill selection we normally have but we were pleasantly surprise to find a well laid out hot section of food and an excellent cold buffet. This continued throughout or stay and I would recommend if you have to stay in this area for any reason you should give this hotel a try you will not be disappointed.

Stayed here for one night, as we were going to a special birthday party. The location is not central, nor is it picturesque, and very exposed to the elements - blowing a gale and snowing when we were there - but the standard of the hotel itself and the friendly, helpful staff make this the best value for money budget hotel you could ever hope for!

The hotel is welcoming, well designed and furnished, and spotlessly clean, both in public areas and the rooms. The only downside was the keycard system for all the lighting/heating/aircon in the rooms. Our room was like an icebox. However, this was quickly resolved by the friendly receptionist, who made us an extra key card so that we could leave the heating on while we were out and return to a nice warm room.

Breakfast offered plenty of choice and was tasty. The buffet was restocked regularly and tables were cleared and cleaned. The atmosphere was unrushed and welcoming.

If you stay for more than one night, it would be worth taking advantage of the pub next door - we called in for 'last orders' and found it very pleasant. There is also an Aldi supermarket opposite the hotel, useful for essentials.

At £32 including a delicious breakfast for two people, this hotel is hard to beat!

Room Tip: Ask for two key cards per room

This hotel was nice, clean and modern. The check in process was efficient, and the reception staff was courteous and professional!

I was traveling with my two kids, and the room was spacious for the three of us. They offered free WiFi and breakfast. The breakfast was adequate, but the restaurant was clean and the staff nice.

There is a nice big parking lot. If the hotel restaurant is not what you want, there are many options within walking distance (we ordered Dominos next door).

This is a very new hotel, with contemporary features throughout. The rooms are large, spacious and comfortable with very high standards of cleanliness.

The staff were brilliant, very polite, friendly and helpful - even at midnight when we eventually checked-in after having been held up by the weather.

Breakfast was good, with a wide selection available, all well-cooked.

Please note, this hotel is very new and as such most sat nav. devices will not find it. The street it's situated just off of contains numerous new-build housing developments, and as such may similarly not be found by your sat nav.
To find it via sat nav., do a search for either the Aldi supermarket on Colliery Avenue (Rotherham), or the Bluebell pub/restaurant - as both are a 'stone's throw' away from the hotel. Without doing a search for the hotel, you're unlikely to find it as it is quite a distance from the main town. This may suit many people, and is probably an ideal hotel for business stays.

The only negative comment I can justifiably make about the hotel is that one of the two lifts was broken for the duration of our 2 night stay - and on no floor was there a sign on the lift door advising of this - we simply had to bear in mind that 'the one on the left' wasn't working, which was a bit of a nuisance as I was very ill around the time of our stay and found it very difficult climbing stairs. None the less, this is very minor considering everything else was great.

Overall, this hotel was good value and a credit to the Holiday Inn brand. Recommended.

This hotel offers excellent value for money. The rooms are large (way beyond the usual size for this brand) and offer all the usual modern facilities including spacious bathrooms. I particularly liked the free (and fast) wireless internet. Breakfast (complimentary) was well stocked and of good quality. Located well for various local businesses and the motorway network.
