Bottons pleasure beach is a smallish traditional funfair located on Skegness seafront between the pier and the clock tower. The attraction contains about twenty rides including the traditional waltzers, dodgems, ghost train, pirate ship, twister and big wheel plus its newest addition which is the Extreme ride which was added in about 2010.
We visited Bottons last Saturday 15th June 2013 and purchased two childrens ride all day wrist bands which cost £14.00 each (same price for adults). The good thing about the wristbands is that you are free to exit and enter the fair as many times as you like during the day giving you ample time to explore the other attractions in Skegness or head out for a bite to eat or even just a break from the noise.
During our visit Bottons was relatively quite meaning that the children never had to wait more than a couple of minutes for a ride which is a real bonus. Although the number of rides available is quite limited and their are no major roller coasters or thrill rides Bottons still offers very good value for money and there is enough to keep children occupied all day.
One minor point of note is that the log flume which is owned by Bottons but located just outside the funfair gates is not incorporated within the wristband offer and costs (at the time of our visit) £2.00 per person per ride, but even as a standalone ride i still think this offer decent value for money.
