We have just returned home from a absolutely blissful two nights stay what a gem of a offer the super sunday is . We just love the ambience of the restaurant lunch and dinner food excellent and eye catching.
We now must praise the wonderful staff especially Bill who gives a highly polished restaurant service nothing is too much trouble at all. Lovely Dee who is always so kind and freindly. Not forgetting Toni who is a star. The owners must be so proud of how they conduct themselves.
The new refurbishments are starting to look amazing well done the building team.

We will be back very soon.

We chose this hotel because we had stayed in Skegness before about 30 years ago and wanted to visit old haunts. The hotel has recently changed hands and is under refurbishment but this in no way spoilt our experience. the staff were so friendly it felt like family, nothing was too much trouble. Our room was huge and beautifully decorated and when we asked for two comfy chairs they arrived in minutes. The food was very well prepared and very tasty. Other people staying in the hotel were friendly and chatty. We stayed on a dinner, bed and breakfast basis and the £20 allowance for dinner was more than adequate , there was a good variation of choice to suit most people. I would definately recommend this hotel to my friends. This was our wedding anniversary and they even gave us a card.

My whole family, with our dogs have stayed at the vine, somtimes having 5 rooms .This as been going on for 10 years. I will speak for all of my family as i`ve paid for most trips.Keeping 1 or 2 rooms for dog owners as do ,the Petwood Hotel in Woodhall Spa,another favorate of mine could be a better coarse to take.We are staying at The Royal at this present moment and being looked after very well. The 5 or 6 stays ayear with you have know stopped,Think on dog owners have good money to spend. What a crying shame. PS. I would like to thank all the staff past and present for all there help and kindness over our years of staying at THE VINE. Mr&Mrs John K.

Have visited several times for lunch when on a day trip to Gibraltar Point Nature Reserve (just up the road) with our dog. Top class food and surroundings and dogs are welcome in one bar area, which is great. Forget the tack of Skegness half a mile away and come here for some real class at very reasonable prices!

We have stayed at the Vine on many occasions during the winter months and have always enjoyed our stay.
However I have just found out that the new management have decided not to allow dogs to stay anymore, so thats put paid to our visits. We loved the fact that our dog could come away with us, she's very well behaved and never caused any problems and was always made very welcome. Its a shame but there you go, sure I will find other places that will make us welcome. Hope they are going address their policy on allowing contractors to stay as the last twice we stayed, the hotel was very well occupied with them, wearing their dirty high vis work gear in the bar areas, bad language and very noisey early in the mornings. Caused more problems to us than any dog I've seen staying there.

I am deeply sorry you will be unable to
stay with us again, but hope that will
not deter you coming to see us for a meal.
As you are probably aware we do encourage
dogs in our Oak bar area, and that would
enable you still to enjoy some quality time
at The Vine.
Our upgrade of the Hotel is almost at an end
whereupon all workers will be off-site.I will
certainly look into your comments made in this
respect.
Regards.

Just got back from Skegness we stayed at the vine hotel . The hotel is one of the oldest buildings in Skegness dating from about 1780 and has a good old world atmosphere about it .However the rooms are modern clean and comfortable, we chose to dine out so cannot comment on the meals .We did have breakfast which was very good served piping hot and very filling our room was at the top of two flights of stairs which we were ok with, however anyone with mobility problems would certainly struggle so i would advise contacting hotel on booking.Skegness itself is well worth a visit for those looking for a traditional british seaside resort it is much bigger than i thought it would be with lots to see and do

Room Tip: Do not book ahigh floor if you have mobility problems

We spent two nights here around a "Lancaster" taxi ride at East Kirkby. Room clean and wallpaper made a statement! We ate in both nights and food was excellent we booked but few people in the restaurant. Staff were helpful and personable. The only issue was what was included in our inclusive deal which was speedily and satisfactorily resolved. A relaxed stay and we'd book again.
