we have just had a holiday at the glynvale hotel and had a great time we went with our grandchildren and we found the proprietors very friendly and accommodating they treated our grandchildren like they were their own . After reading the comments of the previous persons who felt this hotel was dirty and the food bad they really need to look at themselves we were shown around and I found all the rooms brill we had a fantastic time and the reason we choose the glynvale was they are a family hotel .We have stayed at other hotels who have allowed single sex parties both men and women and when you take grandchildren on holiday you don't want them disturbed when they are asleep .We are defiantly going back because I have already booked for December as a Christmas treat for our family.

when visiting skegness we came across the glynvale hotel and what a good find it was, extremely clean and excellent value for money.I have a wife and 3 children as a family of five we find it very hard for hotels to accommodate us but this was no trouble for the glynvale hotel.when waking up in the morning breakfast was served at nine am which is a good time as a family.breakfast menu was cerial ,toast, tea ,coffee-full english which was very nice.I personally wanted my bacon crispy and that is exactly how it came.I would recommend this hotel.

My husband booked this hotel (and i use the word hotel loosely) because it was the only one he could find over the bank holiday period.Wehad tryed to book The Crown on the same road which we had stayed in before which was quite pleasant for the money, clean and cheaper.

He booked two rooms for ourselved and friends,We made the mistake of paying upfront for the rooms when we arrived, because we didnt think we would find anywhere else at short notice over the bank holiday period.Plus my husband didnt want me to make a fuss because the owners were quite nice and friendly. We thought its only for one night how bad could it be.

After paying for the rooms,on closer inspection noticed how dirty they were, the bathroom was so dirty i placed tissues on the toilet seat before i used it.The bed had a large dip in the mattress making it almost impossible to sleep on.The cups were so dirty i refused to go down to breakfast the following morning, i thought if they were the cups on show what on earth was the kitchen like behind the scenes. My husband however braved it and went down to breakfast to meet our friends only to find out they had decided to go and stay with nearby family in their caravan,if we had another option we would have done the same.

After later talking to a few local friends,we found out six people the week before had walked out of this hotel.

So if the previous couple read this review, believe me you had a very lucky escape!!!

Room Tip: Dont bother.

Tried to book here but they wouldnt let us as we were "2 men" and they said its their rules!
Well Woopy Doo!!!!!!

Thety can not do not and if you do want to book this is a pre-caution as they will not accept
same sexed couples, gay ,straight or other wise so beware.

I had a nasty conversation from a lady on the pohne twice.

I have had and they have had corespondance and contact from the hotelliers association, visit england and the skegness turism board and also from the East Lindsey District Council. For which they have not responded back to as they couldnt care less!

If you do go here you are forwarned. They cannot legally do this as it is under 2007 Equality Act and Trading Standards act. If this is on a public road or street and not private belonging to them which it is not then they have to be open to all public unless fully booked themselves.

The pictures looked awful on the website too.

I would have taken this hotel to court but I am not wasting any more time or money on them, just hope it helps prospective Holiday makers and business people! Not a friendly place to stay or be!!
