“Very good stay.”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 22, 2012

Stopped here for 2 nights. Had a family room. Was lovely spacious and clean. Everything you could need was in the room including plenty of towels.

My only 1 criticism would be the service at breakfast. Staff were very disorganised, long wait for cooked breakfast. We asked for a boiled egg for our little one...never received it despite asking. Little one had to make do with just toast. Plenty of staff on but all very chaotic and disorganised.
Shame.

Location of the hotel is ideal for all attractions.

Stayed at the Savoy for 5 day at the end of June with my husband and mother-in-law, from arrival to departure we were made to feel extremely welcome by all the staff. Excellent position on the North Parade, 2 minutes from the Pier, 3 minutes to the beach & 4 minutes to the shops. We were luckily enough to have a newly refurbished room which was extremely well presented and very clean, as my mother-in-law is partially disabled she had been allocated a large single room which was easy for her to get around using her walker and next to the small lift. On the Wednesday of our stay the Olympic flame came past the front of the hotel, what was nice about this was the management put additional table & chairs outside and gave everybody flags to wave, excellent morning had by everybody. The food was fantastic and if you wanted something without the sauce/veg the staff were happy to oblige. The only downside for us was we were unable to see any of the entertainment as the only way into the ballroom is up steps/stairs and unfortunately my mother-in-law is unable to climb up these. Both myself & my husband will be coming back to this hotel and would definitely recommend staying here to anybody who is thinking of going to Skegness

Room Tip: Book early if you want a Sea View room - these are allocated on a first come first served basis.

Once again another hotel visited through work.
Very clean, pleasant waiting on staff, very good food.
Only drawback for me was.....being stuck on the top floor. Room was ok though, plenty of towels and hot water.
Great position on promenade, very close to attractions.

Stayed along with about forty friends for the week, room 27 was a bit small because it's in the attic and no shower but as we only slept and washed in it not too bad. The food was second to none, service by friendly jovial staff who put up with quite a lot of leg pulling, as did the entertainers. Read some reviews from last year and the management have obviously taken note of the negatives and rectified them. Would recommend staying to anyone. Thanks to the staff for a great week!!

Room Tip: If you are over 6ft tall ask for rooms below third floor

I would recommend this hotel to anyone. Very good food, pleasant staff and exceptional cleanliness. I have never stayed in an hotel so clean!!!!! I certainly will be booking a room again at this hotel but this time the icing on the cake would be a room with a sea view. I booked late so this was not an option. Nevertheless the room allocated was fine and the standard of cleanliness did not stop at ground level; the room was immaculate. Well done to all who work there.

Stayed here overnight whilst attending a wedding that was nearby. Our room was lovely recently refurbished has was all the communal areas. some of our family however had rooms that were not recently refurbished which were still clean and comfortable but ready for a make over which im sure they will get soon. Central location and pre bookable parking at hotel for £2.50. Nice breakfast would reccomend.

Room Tip: Ask for a sea view room and a newly refurbished one.

Thank you for your review. We are glad you enjoyed your stay with us and that you were very pleased with the refurbished room that yo stayed in. The owners of the hotel are in the process of refurbishing the whole of the hotel and are very pleased to report that all of the public areas and many of the rooms have now all been completely refurbished to a very high specification. The few remaining rooms are due to be completed within the next few months, allowing the Savoy to become a very stylish and modern hotel with a contemporary feel.
Thank you again for your review and we look forward to welcoming to the Savoy again.

Me and my partner went to the Savoy hotel after booking a few days away over the internet.
We were pleasantly surprised when arriving due to the hotel only being a 2* (should be 4). The interior downstairs was beautiful and the staff were very welcoming and polite and did everything they could to make us feel at home.
The rooms were clean, stylish and the sea view was a very nice touch too!
Breakfast was nice, full English with toast and tea (other food on the menu too). Only critism - a bit more please!
Overall a lovely hotel and we will be returning again!
