“VERY disappointed”
Reviewed February 21, 2014

Just been for a 'romantic' meal for 2. Upon walking in we were confronted by some beautifully arranged candlelit tables in an attractive setting. Unfortunately we were then sat in a make shift unattractive, cramped and uncomfortable table literally inches from the side of the bar with a gorgeous view of the back of the coffee machine and constant interuptions from noisy ice buckets, telephone ringing etc. Upon asking if there were any other available seats we were coldly told 'No. A most bizarre comment to make considering we were quite literally the first and only people in the entire restaurant. As for the food, the menu read well and presented some lovely dishes, such a shame that when the food materialised it was dry, cold and overcooked (Albeit I will confess the side plates of veg. were nice). Very disappointing again. I have a whole host of negative comments to make about the experience, such as no advice from the waitress as to any of the dishes of the day, chefs special etc. but to be honest I cannot be bothered wasting any more of my time on this restaurant. Certainly not going to visit again. If you happen to be in the area and are looking for a nice meal, I can only suggest you give this place a miss and head straight over to Fairlawns in Aldridge for an all together far superior experience.

“Nice evening”
Reviewed February 6, 2014

Went for a special anniversary meal. The food was very good, and they were very helpful to my husband who has coeliac disease and needs everything gluten free. Very reasonable price for three course set menu.

“Excellent food in a busy restaurant”
Reviewed February 6, 2014

This was our first ever visit & we will go back. Food was excellent and the credit crunch menu is good value but they didn't explain the drinks offer to us. Free carafe of wine is included but once we had bought drinks from the bar they didn't bring it, annoyingly they tried to charge us for it. Glad we went despite this slight problem. Would imagine its evewn better in the summer months.
