“Castle venue- a real treat!!”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 26, 2012

The venue was absolutely beautiful... you walk along a little bridge over the moat and enter the restaurant (which is also a hotel and spa), with the most beautiful gardens!!
It was raining, so unfortunately we didn't get to look around the gardens, which was a huge shame. But we will be returning to use the spa and see the grounds to their full potential.
The only slight issue is finding the place- the back drive is not the correct entrance!!!
Lovely evening and look forward to experiencing the surroundings again!!

“Historic - Afternoon Tea”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 4, 2012

Afternoon tea does not get much better than this. A 4 star historic moated castle house set in its own private grounds. Could not get a reservation for the fine dinning bridge restaurant on that night as it was booked up and could not accommodate our party size so we all went for afternoon tea instead Special place for special occasions expensive but what a indulgence. Thank you to all the staff for making us so welcome.

“Impressive on site”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 1, 2012

I have been here many times as it is not far from where i live, the last occasion was for a funeral breakfast, the food was snack form and was well presented by the almost invisible staff, like any top hotel the price of drinks is sky high ( £17 for three drinks), so if you are not on expenses take loads of cash.

“Fabulous food and wonderful staff”

The food was fantastic and the chef catered for my dislike of butter in his dishes, which I must say it's always easy to manage.
