Stayed for one night prior to visiting Drayton Manor (7 miles away). Staff excellent - received text and phone call in morning reminding me of stay and welcoming me to hotel. Nice touch. Family room really large - although two single beds instead of mattresses on floor would be nicer as children complained they were a bit hard. Didn't stop them sleeping though!. Room and bathroom with spotlessly clean, plenty of hot water and portable fan was appreciated. Attached pub provided good food with friendly staff and free WiFi. Would certainly recommend and definitely stay again.

Stayed at this hotel for a wedding taking place elsewhere.
The hotel and the adjoining pub are a bit tired and it could all do with a refurb.
Room was OK although would agree with another reviewer that the childrens beds were no more than a mattress on the floor. Our kids are only 5 & 3 so it wasn't too much of a problem.
Staff were friendly and effcient allowing us to check in an hour earlier. Breakfast was a bit slow the next day with several things taking time to get refilled.
I would stay again but only because we have family in the area but would look elsewhere first.
Still reasonably good value for £50

89 quid for tired room with one set of towels (small and thread bare) for 2 people.
Room was clean but weirdly, all of grouting on bathroom tiles was dyed blue which then ran when you got water on it!!??
Staff nice
Really noisy at night with drunk people, which is kinda contrary to the Premier Inn chain marketing
Served its purpose - we had travelled for 1 night at friends 40th party, but pretty average overall, would find somewhere else for his 50th !!

The hotel itself was ok with the staff being friendly and helpful. The pub attached to the hotel serves good food at reasonable prices. We stayed in a "family room" which was more than to be desired, we felt it was a standard room with what looked like two small mattresses on the floor either side of the bed. We have stayed at other Premier Inns with the family room being much lager with proper beds for the kids.

We stayed at this hotel as it was in close proximity to Drayton Manor (Thomas Land) and well worth the visit and recommend this attraction.

Overall I would rate this hotel 6.5/10

I have stayed in this hotel twice within 4 weeks and both times i've enjoyed and the beds are comfy.

The rooms are nicely sized, not too big but not too small and the adjoining pub serves fantastic food.

The reception staff delievered excellent customer service and were very helpful with local questions on the area and things to do during the day.

By car from Sutton Coldfield station its like a 5-10 minute journey which isn't bad.

I would defo recommend this hotel and will continue to stay at this hotel whenever I have to travel to Sutton Coldfield.

We stayed at this hotel for 2 nights and found it to be very good value for money.

The room was a good size, with a very big double bed and all the facilities you could wish for, such as en suite, hairdryer, TV, tea and coffee making facilities, etc. The room was also very clean, but the corridor outside was quite scruffy (with litter such as discarded tissues). When we arrived there was a very strong smell of the kind of disinfectant used in public toilets and hospitals, which was a bit off-putting and made the place feel like an institution. I suppose it meant that cleaning had recently been undertaken, but the odour lingered throughout the night!

Our room overlooked the beer garden and car park. As there was no air conditioning in the room, this meant having to keep the window open. It seems some people allow their children to play out until 11 p.m., so the noise of screeching and shouting was quite intrusive, after which people who had been out for the evening began returning and so the noise continued until after 1 a.m. A combination of noise, heat and the smell of disinfectant, therefore, did not result in the good night's sleep promised by the Premier Inn's advertising campaign!!

The pub attached to the hotel was very good, I thought, with excellent value meals (2 for £10) and the full breakfast (£7.50) was also very good. The staff were very friendly and helpful, particularly the lady who checked us in and provided a very cheery and warm welcome.

I'd say that this is an excellent place for families to stay, but for couples it may be worth paying a bit extra to find somewhere a little more upmarket!
