Friday evening and the bar was packed, full of local characters which make a country pub just what it is.
Staff very attentive and friendly, food delicious. Lovely evening all round, can't recommend enough

We decided to try this establishment after passing it many times and we weren't disappointed. The ambience was pleasant, staff friendly. I tried the pie of the day which was a steak and mushroom pie which was delicious. The establishment was also good as it had a lovely outside seating area, so we were able to sit outside eating which was very nice and as we had our dog with us. Would definitely go back next time I'm in that area.

My partner and I have eaten at the Farmers Arms a few times in the past few months and enjoyed it each time. On a Monday there is 'steak night' and is well worth a trip out...v good value and excellent additions to go along side.

I have visited with friends and family and have very few criticisms, except a few weeks ago we had a venison special which was slightly overcooked...but the pub was VERY busy so we didn't mind too much.

We shall definitely return...

Very busy but excellent pub in Combe Florey, famous as being the Somerset village where Evelyn Waugh lived from the late 1950s until his death (he is buried there). Lovely setting, although the main road getting there (A358 Taunton to Minehead) is very busy. I like to cycle there best, but cycling on this road is a bit scary, so go via the many Somerset country lanes instead.

The food is lovely, with good variation on the 'specials' and is competitively priced. It's largely locally sourced (Somerset has a great range of local produce, as good as any county in England), and the chef knows how to cook. There are a good range of beers and ciders, wine list is a little limited but has enough to have a good accompaniment to your meal.

Eating outside on a sunny day is lovely, but gets busy, on a winter day it is very cosy and welcoming inside. Hosts are helpful and cheerful.

I've certainly never had a bad experience there. Heartily recommended
