“very poor restaurant association”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 19, 2013

hotel was an older establishment so suffered in not having PI's usually good standards. the restaurant was a local carvery linked to the hotel & was very poor. after waiting 45 mins in a queue we walked out when it was obvious that the food quality & quantity was poor & the young staff were struggling as no manager was present.
we had a b'fast the foll morn there as it was booked throgh PI & the restaurant provided it. it was poor & not worth the cost - though the PI reception duty manager refunded the cost.
so the hotel wasn't great, though not terrible...what was terrible was the restaurant linked to the hotel & untill PI greatly improves the restauarant we won't be staying there again.
all in all not up to PI's usual standards.................lenny would not be hp!

This Premier Inn is very handy if you are traveling into Cornwall, it is just off the motorway but is not affected by it. It was only for one night and the breakfast was good and I would stay there again.

Stayed for one night on the way down to Devon as a family of four. Great hotel really easy to find and perfectly close to the motorway! No real traffic noise and lovely clean room. Tv worked great to entertain the kids. We went to the brewers Fayre pub next to the other premier inn for tea as there was a playbarn inside for the kids to burn off energy. Easy to find in about ten mins. Glad we stayed at ruishton though as it was so easy to get onto the motorway the next morning without having to travel through the town centre traffic. Will def go again. Staff at pub next door breakfast tome very friendly and food lovely.

We stayed for one night to break a drive from Penzance to Huddersfield. Warm welcome at 11pm, a very comfortable room and bed, tasty breakfast at the tavern across the way, very convenient location. Would recommend without hesitation.

Quite impressed with this hotel, it needs modernising a bit but its ok.
Rooms were a little dated but decent enough.
Attached pub / restaurant next door is ok; in the bar bit it’s really nice with some decent local beers and a good atmosphere the restaurant bit is a bit strange and doesn’t match the bar but the food was half decent, I had the carvery which had to be the biggest id ever had!
Overall not so bad just needs tidying up a bit.

Another Premier Inn which needs modernising. Ancient TVs not picking up BBC Channels due to a fault with the Mendip transmitter!!!. Dripping bathroom tap. Lack of plugs. Staff are always unfailingly helpful, though.

The restaurant attached to the hotel is not a Whitbread one and does the hotel no service. The Carvery has very limited choice with items unavailable and the breakfast was very greasy. Far better to venture down the road to Ruishton where the local inn is far superior.

Stayed here last week.
Very easy to find.
Clean room, comfy beds (ours and childrens)
TV a bit dated and no BBC reception (transmitter problems apparently) but this was not really important.
Bathroom - lighting a bit dim and suite could do with updating but plenty of how water and shower very good.
Very quiet, despite proximity to A38 and M5.
Ate next door in pub - good beer and carvery good value for money/ good quality (with the added attraction of the Munster Rugby Team stopping here for their evening meal on route to a match the following day!). Breakfast what you would expect - i.e. all the works, though expected some fruit to be available with their breakfasts (have I imagined this?), but this is a minor detail.
