We often stay at this hotel just outside of our town. Quiet relaxing location. gorgeous views and large rooms.
The bathroom in a suite is amazing. The garden deluxe has its own private hot tub.
This time we had a deluxe room although the bath/shower were not seperate as suggested online. We also suffered with quite a bit of noise from people talking in reception as our room was at the top of the stairs.
The spa, food and service was great as always, although the room service only offers one hot vegetarian option which hasnt changed since last time.

I stayed in November on business, found the service very good, both at reception where I was shown to my room and in the bar where I had dinner. only small gripe was the bar food menu was limited, although the restaurant menu was well put together with some great choices I think it was something like £55 for dinner.

The bedroom was very good, great en-suite with a free standing bath and walk in shower, even had self closing toilet lids, which showed me the owners had tried to think of all the details.

One of the most comfy beds I've had for a long time in hotels I've stayed in, breakfast was good, well cooked and presented.

Only other issue I had was poor WiFi signal in the room I stayed in which meant I had to go down and work in the bar.

Would definitely stay again.

Me and my boyfriend went for a spa day to The Mount Hotel spa. The Manor house is really beautiful and old school. We had such a lovely day. The facilities were all really modern, clean and lovely. There was a hot tub, sauna, steam room, and foot spa (like a hot tub for your feet). They also had a cool shower which you could put different settings on, which was quite fun. The changing rooms are teensy, but very clean and nice! We both had a half hour back, neck and shoulder massage which we also really enjoyed. The staff were all really nice and helpful and I would thoroughly recommend. I will definitely be going back there, and probably stay the night... the hotel itself looked so lovely.

A stop over on the way down to Cornwall, and close to the M5 & A303 this seemed an ideal spot. A room with its own outdoor jacuzzi, plenty of space kitted out in a sort of retro office style, with walk in shower/bath etc etc. All good... but the food was weird, the odd food combinations just did not work. Pity really.

Beautiful manor house hotel set in lovely countryside. Not easy to find but well worth the trouble.
Room equipped to a high standard and bed comfortable but temperature in room a little too hot for my liking.
Highlight was the absolutely superb food that was served up for dinner - exquisite!
The staff were very friendly and extremely attentive.
Strange thing was how few other guests and diners were there. Make the most of this - book now before word gets around and whilst special offers are still available.

We went to the Mount Somerset for a night away before my wife starts hospital treatment. The hotel is set in beautiful grounds and we were warmly welcomed when we arrived. Having booked in we were shown around the hotel and then taken to our room at the top of the impressive staircase. Our room was spacious and beautifully furnished with nice touches like fruit, fresh and candied and homemade biscuits. Afternoon tea in the lounge was lovely

We had the three course dinner as part of our package and was preceded by Canapés and Amuse Bouche. Everything was beautifully cooked and presented and the service was both attentive and unobtrusive.

After a comfortable night we finished with a lovely breakfast in the garden room, which was a combination of a lovely buffet of cereals, fruit, pastries, etc and plates cooked to order.

I was also shown around the spa facilities which looked excellent, although we didn't get to use them on this occasion. Maybe next time.

A really wonderful, relaxing night away in a beautiful hotel with wonderful service. Highly recommended.

Our wedding reception in 1998 at The Mount Somerset has very fond memories indeed, and special thanks to Tracey and Scott for this, and therefore, we enjoy returning, for any family special celebrations. We live locally, and so have returned for several family meals and celebrations. The most recent was with family, 21 of us to a family celebration in August 2012, which my parents booked. The meal was delicious, our relations & family who stayed overnight were very happy with their accommodation, and the staff were attentive and friendly.
Since then, my husband and I have recently enjoyed a Spa Pamper morning (1st November 2013), as birthday treats to us both from my parents. The Spa was lovely, clean and modern and comfortable, all of the thermal therapies were great, and we thoroughly enjoyed our half hour Back, Neck and Shoulder massages. We also booked into the hotel after, for lunch, and are very glad we did, as this was delicious, despite a wedding, and therefore we were in the drawing room, whilst the wedding took over the main rooms. We had a two course lunch, starter and main course, and it certainly topped off our pamper treat day, in convivial surroundings. The staff were attentive, efficient, and friendly. We never hesitate to recommend The Mount Somerset to friends and family alike, and indeed, family also visited in August (2013) for Spa pampers too, which they also very much enjoyed.
