Ticks all the boxes for a great weekend away.
Lots of choice for activities.
Accommodation was clean and tidy.
The outside hot tub was my personal favourite, to be enjoyed with a glass of vino and a stunning view.

I recently visited this property with a large group from work and found the whole trip both enojyable and well managed.
The owner of the property was very freindly often coming over to check we were all ok and see if we needed anything.
The setting was amazing nothing better than sat in a hot tub looking out over the hills.
The accomodation was suprisingly roomy considering how many people were staying there was plenty of space, it was clean and tidy throughout bedding and linens were all clean and fresh smelling too.
An excellent weekend with excellent people at an excellent location.
Thank you very much Liz I am sure we will be returning!

We stayed with a group of friends hoping for a few days of relaxation. The area is lovely but the standard of accomodation is disappointing, the house is not well equipped and any refurbishment which has been done to the property is very ameteurish. On two occassions there was no hot water. The "spa" is a basic area where a mobile therapist visits - there is nothing luxurious about it. The hot tub smelt so much we were put off using it. But the most disappointing thing was the reaction of the owners to the problems we encountered. It is clear from their interactions with guests that the holiday-let business is one they are in reluctantly which is a shame, because with a bit of investment and people running it who delivered good customer service it could be a really lovely place.

We loved our stay here and were made to feel very welcome. Our accommodation was in a stunning and characterful period property, in a quiet rural location where we could relax and have fun.

We also really enjoyed the spa treatments and felt making workshop.

The property setting isn't bad, but there were some definite problems, and you will be able to see from the responses of the landlady how likely these are to be met with a listening ear and genuine desire to improve the customer experience. It is clear that the conversion of the house into a holiday let was undertaken begrudgingly and guests should expect to feel more like an inconvenience than welcomed. There are signs up everywhere "Our Dogs Bite" being the most extraordinary - the dog was completely uncontrolled and frightened not only the children but some of the adults too.

The minimum has been done to make the properties liveable. Kitchens were woefully under equipped (no frying pan, no vegetable peeler, cheese grater - basic stuff), many items of furniture were broken and clearly had been for some time, and neither of the ovens provided worked properly, nor did the showers. Cobwebs, dust, lightbulbs missing, thin cheap mattresses, poor quality pine furniture etc etc.

Finally we were extremely annoyed to leave the house cleaner than we found it, only to be charged an 'additional cleaning fee' of £25. When we queried it, this was the response:

"The extra cleaning charges are for extra cleaning, as defined by the contract cleaners that clean the property, for extra time incurred cleaning - kind regards"

We were also accused of stealing an item, which we certainly did not. We understand the missing item was a shower tie which we were charged £15 for.

Contrary to the beliefs of the landlady, we have all stayed in old houses before. This is one we shall not be returning to.

Stayed with a friend for a long weekend and we has the most relaxing time in years. The house had everything we needed and more. The locals are very friendly and local pubs serve excellent food. Taunton is not far away for a more active night out, but we found the local scene more to our taste. Fanastic place to de-stress. Going back soon.
