Handmade Burger Co. at Trinity Walk, Wakefield. We popped in here for lunch on Saturday afternoon - our daughter's choice as she was celebrating her 16th birthday. The place was packed so we choose to sit outside as the weather was good. The menu was explained to us and we placed our order at the bar and got drinks. Soft drinks are fairly priced as they are refillable. Our daughter had a milkshake which was delish! Little special touches such as a birthday flag on her drink and the staff wished her Happy Birthday too. We were told up to 15 minutes for our food - actually took 40 minutes. Fortunately we'd been entertained by a singer so time had flown, if we had sat inside, we'd have questioned the timing. Food was really nice. The cajun chips were very spicey and the portions are generous. The food is nicely presented and again fairly priced. The staff were friendly and happy to help even though they were busy. It's somewhere we would definately revisit.

Called here on Tuesday lunch time and it got quite busy (maybe boosted by a Teachers strike?). Burgers are nice enough, if not spectacular (albeit light years away from the appalling big mac/BK etc etc).
Can't understand the comments about "good service" as service is in fact very limited - You have to queue to order your food, fetch your own drinks, and although they do bring your meal to your table that hardly elevates it to good service.
A warning if on a budget, if you add fries, coleslaw, onion rings etc - all over £3 a time, you are quickly heading for the £20 mark for your burger, and you can eat infinitely better food with infinitely better service for that money.
Good - but not that good!!

Second visit to this burger place and not disappointed . Food and service is excellent but it is let down a little by how quiet it is , which means there is almost no atmosphere at all even though the very attentive and friendly staff are doing a really good job
Deserves to be busier,do go here if you want a really good burger

Burgers are one of my weak spots and it really pains me when I have to share my dining experience with noisy uncouth teenagers, That's essentially why I visited this place.
When entering you're immediately put at ease by a cheerful member of staff smiling and offering you a choice of seats available. Once sat at your chosen table you're guided through the simple process of ordering your meal (imagine: nando's for burgers), and then you're left to make your choice and order from the counter when ready. As you relax and wait for your freshly cooked meal, you can take in the relaxed ambience and minimalist yet 'on trend' decor. When your food arrives and during the course of your meal the staff are incredibly attentive but not overbearing. The meal itself is well presented and cooked to perfection but don't try and eat a burger in one piece. Chips (which are a separate bill item) can be seasoned in 2 or 3 ways, however I recommend that if you have the Piri Piri ones that you also order a bottomless drink.
Price wise it's not excessive but maybe a little more than what you'd expect to pay for Burger, chips and a coke but the price does drive the afore mentioned teens away. The food is excellent and the atmosphere relaxed. Top prize for the experience has to go to the staff who try their hardest to make this so much more than just another burger bar, they truly are brilliant.

This was first visit to this restaurant and I do not normally eat burgers. I had the char grilled chicken kebabs, which were wonderful and tasty. The meal was good overall and the staff were excellent. The really did seem to be very helpful and friendly but they were let down by a canteen like space which did seem a bit sad, as this is a new restaurant in the new Trinity Walk shopping centre, it was not up to standard I would have expected. Must praise the staff and the food though!
