Really nice place to go for a meal as a family, a couple or with friends. Lovely setting, clean and tidy. Good service and friendly staff. Although a little disappointed this time as partner had lamb shank last time and it was beautiful but this time he said it was fatty. We will still go again though. Puddings are beautiful. Sticky toffee and date I could have eaten again...

Although it is a short taxi ride into Wakefield from the Premier Inn it was worth it. The hotel is friendly and comfortable in a nice quiet location, we will definitely stay there again if we can get a good deal again.

Premier Inn wakefield is a nice hotel, set in a lovely place, tucked away by a park.
The hotel reception staff are professional, very polite and friendly, but the same can't be said for the cleaners, WELL MY cleaner!

I jumped in the shower on my first night to find the shower gel empty (I forgot mine otherwise I wouldnt of used it) - So I took it out of the case and managed to get just enough to wash that night.
I thought I would leave it out, on the side of the bath so the cleaner would see it and replace it....HOW wrong I was!
She/He simply left it where I put it.
They changed my towels, thank god...but left the empty shower gel bottle where it was and the toothpaste mark on the side of the sink that was there in the morning.
I dread to think what else WASN'T done!!!

Its a shame as the other staff were great in a hotel crying for a good refurb and phones in the room would be very 21st century!!

Room Tip: Eat at the Holmfield next door...lovely place, great staff and nice food.

It’s often difficult to write anything different about Premier Inns, because they all look and feel the same. This is obviously quite deliberate but does make for some boring Tripadvisor reviews! And mine will be dull as well! Just to say this hotel is great, clean and quiet. And only 50 quid or so to stay. Excellent.
As for the food, go to my review for the restaurant called "The Holmfield".

Stayed in August 2013 on business. Staff checking in were very friendly and helpful. My room was up some stairs (didn't see a lift) which was a bit annoying having to carry all my stuff upstairs but I have to say that was the only down side. A clean, spacious room, huge bed and good amenities. I at the back end of a heatwave, and a large oscillator fan was provided in the room along with operating advice.

Ate the the adjoining restaurant. Was dining alone but staff extremely friendly and helpful again. Menu was fantastic, even for vegetarians.

I think I paid £29 for my room, which was a bargain. Opted to have breakfast in the morning which was again fantastic, quick service for the made-to-order options and great choice.

Thanks for a great stay!

We enjoyed our stay in the hotel which is nice and peaceful in the park and woods. It look like a forest with hotel in it. The staff are polite and helpful made us settle down well in the hotel. The room was spot on and very clean. The route to different places was helpful by car. It was great stay in my life.

We arrived on a very wet night, and had to park in the top car park and had to walk down some very slippy, wet, steep stairs to reach the reception. Our room was clean enough but it had a horrible damp smell . The bed itself was clean and very comfortable. The en suite facilities were good, a little old fashioned but clean. The premier inn itself could do with some updating. We had a nice meal at the pub attached to the Premier Inn.
