Long walk around the grounds but well worth the effort.Indoor galleries are changed quite often and can often surprise you. It's worth having repeat trips with a reasonable break between to take in indoor displays.Thoroughly enjoy our visits.

“Fabulous Day Out For All Ages”
Reviewed March 15, 2013

Took my not especially arty but very sporty boys out to take in some culture at the YSP - they surprised themselves by having a great time and learning a great deal about sculpture in the process. It was great to do something totally different. The galleries and main buildings were beautifully designed - lovely environment to sit and have a cup of tea etc - whilst the parkland setting and exhibits were stunning. It was a great experience that inspired us to question our view of the world around us. All ages were there and everyone seemed to be having a great time. Though I'm not normally one for spending in the gift shop as museum shops often sell tat in my experience, the YSP shop stocked many beautiful gifts and interesting books for all pockets.

“Must see!”
Reviewed March 13, 2013

Brilliant cafe and visitor centre, plenty of space to walk and wander and dozens of huge sculptures scattered in the parkland and around the lake. There are also indoor exhibitions in a fantastic underground gallery. A place to be amazed by sculpture, even if you never thought it was your thing!

“Free Sculpture Park ?”
Reviewed March 13, 2013

Advertised as free, ho thats good, until you roll up with the car and see the parking charges, over charging at its best. This park used too be free, no car park charge the cafe is expensive also. strange this, but you can park your car 4/5 mile away in wakefield and then get the bus to the park cheaper than parking in the park, Well worth the visit if your walking.

“Unique and Significant Venue for Great Works”
Reviewed March 12, 2013 via mobile

The Sculpture Park is unique and is easy to access. The works are significant, from well and lesser known artists. The interior spaces are so high quality but understated to really feature the exhibits. The exterior space is awesome in content and scale. A not to be missed place to visit.
