We saw Steve & Thapanne on Channel 4's "Three in a Bed" and booked while the programme was still airing as we were so impressed by their hospitality and the stunning rooms. We weren't disappointed either.
We were taking a few days away as part of our anniversary celebrations and couldn't have been more impressed. We stayed in room 12 which overlooked the huge gardens. I just wish my own bedroom was big enough to take the super king size bed they have in there...one thing I am going to remedy at home is to buy one of those extremely comfortable mattresses. We have never slept so well. The room was contemporary, light and airy, well decorated and the soft furnishings were spot on with my taste. The big leather couch was soft & squishy and easy to relax into whilst watching the large flat screen TV.
We were in an ideal location to travel to Leeds or Wakefield and surrounding areas, by car or public transport (the number 444 bus was regular and only £4.20 for a day saver).
Thapanne is such a lovely, warm and welcoming person who tries very hard to make your stay comfy and enjoyable. She works hard but always has a huge smile and makes you feel like extended family. Equally, Steve is friendly, approachable and down to earth - no airs and graces here, just a good family feel to this luxurious B&B.
The dining room is cosy, the food plentiful and well cooked; we had snacks and tea/coffee making facilities in the foyer of our extension which we used daily. We could have taken our laptop, because the Foxwood has wi fi, but haven't advertised that they are willing to allow free access to his guests...we will take it next time!
We ate our evening meal at the local Unicorn pub - looks a little shabby but the food, real ale and welcome are good - and they do a good deal for "early birds" with their sizzler menu (also featured on the programme).
We are already checking our diaries to make another two night booking so we can enjoy their hospitality once again. As members of CAMRA, we are always looking for good B&Bs that we can call home while we sample ale houses in the area...we will visit this one again and travel to Leeds which has a wonderful array of pubs with good quality real ale - in fact Steve recommended a few to us which we are eager to sample next time.
Highly recommended B&B and well worth the 4 stars - I posted pics of our room this morning and have already had friends and family asking for details!

Room Tip: Book the deluxe rooms for the additional fiver.

This B&B must be the best value for money any where in the U.K ( And I would know I've stayed in a few) We booked the delux room, excellent views great patio outside the sliding patio doors, The B&B is wel located for Wetherby, Leeds Harrogate etc. The hospitality is second to none and the breakfast must be one of the best I have ever had in any B&B.
For the price you cannot beat the cleanliness, friendly hospitality, breakfast and general facilities...... I'll be back !.....

Room Tip: All rooms are great value !

We could not have a had a better two day stay in the foxwood guest house
We saw it on Channel 4's Three In a Bed, liked what we saw and booked, it has not disappointed.
other guests there also booked from seeing the program, dates were filling up quickly
Steve & Thapanne made us so welcome. The deluxe room we had was superb it had a super king size bed a large leather sofa and 36" digital flat screen tv. The bathroom had a walk in shower.
Through the large patio windows it over looked the country side and orchard which was in full bloom.
All this and a full english breakfast to die for included in the price.
What more could you want. Excellent Value for money.
It puts many 4/5 star hotels to shame.
We have re booked for later in the year we enjoyed it so much

Well done
Dorothy & Geoff

Steve the owner could not do enough for you. The guest house is set in its own grounds in the picturesque village of Carlton. All the rooms are well furnished and have all the facilities you would expect from a hotel. All rooms are on the ground floor.
