Very popular with walkers and dog walkers.
It has a good kiddies playground which needs a better bin emptying strategy because it suffers from litter louts and the 2 bins in it need emptying more than twice a week.
Why do they keep cutting and maintaining the footy pitch when the goalposts are 90% covered in rust.?

After recently moving to wrenthorpe I had no idea this park even existed. Me and my dog stumbled into one day and have never looked back. Oh my it is huge!! So green, and natural just outside the city. We come most days and walk a different way each time. There are fields, woods, a river and more. It is a perfectly tranquil area of natural beauty. Love it !!

I walk around Wrenthorpe nature park daily and never get tired with the scenery. with the exception of a two hundred yard stretch of gravel path it is smooth pavement ; suitable for disabled people and push chairs in fact anything with wheels. From the car park this gives you a walk of around one and a quarter miles.you can of course go off piste and walk the miles of grassy paths through all kinds of woods, fields and river banks. There is a 'what looks to me like' a magnificent adventure playground. Kingfishers,Herons,Woodpeckers and Crows are a few of the birds that can be seen when the seasons right. There are acres of dog bounding grass and millions of gallons of fresh air.
