Massive park, clean and well kept. Gardens are beautiful and the lake. Pathways to walk around the whole park. Lots of joggers and kids enjoying themselves. Very busy but was summer holidays and kids out of school. Good atmosphere. Was lovely just listening to different accents.

A great park to go for a walk around. Visit the aviary or the pond. If you are a bit more energetic then you can go on the tennis courts or use the bowling green to a nominal fee.
There's a couple of free carparks around the site.
This park is great for dog walking. The old lodge by the park entrance is a great cafe. The food and service are first class and you can take your dogs in, intact you'll probably find more dogs than people in.
The best thing is your dog will be offered a sausage, cut up, in a dish with a serviette lol.
Well worth a visit.

I have passed this park so many times over the years and never visited until spring of this year. What a delight and surprise it was. Our friends who were visiting for Leicester thoroughly enjoyed it

This park is lovely and has numerous entry points and plenty of car parking which is all free.
In the park there are ducks, geese and an aviary. There’s a lovely flower garden and also a secret garden where all of the ‘love on the rocks wakefield’ are hidden and found.
Plenty of open space to play football, rugby, cricket. There are tennis courts and also pitch and putt.
The park play area is lovely however not much sitting for adults other than on the rocks. There is also a skate park too :)

This park is near the centre of Wakefield but has plenty of free parking. It is a good place to walk the dog but also has tennis courts, a putting green, large pond with plenty of water birds, a small aviary with some colourful residents, a secret garden (well signposted haha) some flower beds well maintained by volunteers and others not so well maintained by the council.
