“Clean and comfortable.”
Reviewed November 30, 2012 via mobile

Stayed here for one night on business and found the reception staff very kind and helpful when checking in and out. The room was clean and as a female on my own I felt safe. Easy to find and close to a super market and fast food chain.

Good service, room basic but had everything we wanted, asked for extra milk, tea etc and got enough for 10. We were in Room 73 - beware bed very firm. Stayed one night and apart from mattress Okay.
Have stayed in a better Premier Inn but this one good. Had evening meal and breakfast there - both satisfactory.

Room Tip: Ask about the mattress.

We arrived about 8pm to break up a long journey on 2nd November and were warmly welcomed by a nice lady on reception. You can't go wrong for the price and the comfort - as an overnight stop it was perfect and just what we needed.

On arrival 3pm saturday 3rd November we were met by an extremely friendly receptionist who was both attentive, welcoming and informative. A very good start to our break away. We got 2 good sized family rooms right next door to each other. Both were clean and on the ground floor ideal for the little ones. The heating system was very easy to work and the water was lovely and hot.
We ate in the beefeater adjoined to the hotel for our evening meal. The food was nice but a little expensive. However the breakfast was wonderful and had everything there anyone could want. The waitress in the morning was very helpful and patient especially as we had 4 very fussy children dining with us.
We stayed here for overnight as we were visiting the Forbidden corner in Yorkshire with the children. All of the children were more keen on staying for another night in the hotel rather than go back to the forbidden corner.
I would definatly recommend staying here again

We stayed here again and once more enjoyed excellent, friendly service. The rooms are clean and the welcome and service are second to none. Would recommend this Premier Inn to anyone thinking of visiting Darlington.

Stayed here in April for a family wedding. After a trip up from London we arrived later than we wanted, we phoned ahead to see if I could have a ground floor as I can't walk very well, and when we arrived I had a ground floor room and the other people in my party were upstairs.
When we arrived, the restaurant had closed but there was a McDonalds over the road anyways. We had breakfast the day of the wedding and it was very nice!
Staff were chatty and found us the directions to the Church where the Wedding was being held. If we travel to Darlington again, this is where we will stay!

Not a holiday trip but certainly recommend this hotel whatever the reason! Excellent location, close to the A1 if travellers need to break up a journey, without being on top of major route. Standard throughout the hotel up to the usual standards. Disruption from noise was minimal despite being close to major road and airport(never heard a plane at all!) On site parking was not an issue at all, plenty for all. Situated next to a Beefeater which, although I didnt use the facilities for breakfast, I did for 2 evening meals. The staff in the restaurent were attentive but not overwhelming and as a lone diner, didnt forget about me despite being busy. Great value early bird menu with plenty of choice. Next to a Morrisons so handy for fuel.
