Although having bought fresh bread on the way to work from Clervaux a number of times, this was the first time I took the time sit down and have a breakfast in cafe.
Having never looked at the cafe menu I was expecting to see the usual cafe breakfast menu, Full English, bacon, sausage, egg sandwiches etc. However, upon inspection I was surprised to find mixed in with the traditional, a range of unconventional & creative breakfasts on offer.
I have sadly forgotten the name of the breakfast I ordered, but to sum it up, it consisted of some fantastic bacon, a poached egg, a mushroom (I think), on a slice of black pudding bread (yeah black pudding mixed in bread!!!) with some stunning mustard sauce and a small side order of salad (making me feel a little less guilty for eating black pudding bread).
The breakfast was a thing of beauty, tasted superb and was well above my expectations, my compliments to the chef.
I was the first one in, so little atmosphere until it filled up, which suited me as I could get through the morning paper with little distraction. Great service as usual, efficient, attentive providing service with a smile.
