Visited on 8 August. Despite the roadsigns to the place it has clearly been closed for some time. The sign outside is overgrown and almost hidden and the gates are locked. The website needs updating to reflect this but the phone number on the site is now dead.Shame, as it used to be a decent garden centre.

We visited the garden centre in the third week in July, an hours drive away, to find it closed when we got there. Was very annoyed as there was nothing on their website with this information. Don't know if it has opened again, but won't go back.

Been going there for years, it used to be very good then started to look run down, went today the gates were closed, sign gone, not sure if they still trading, could only give a one as there is nothing to say if they are closed temporarily or still trading. put not sure to questions below as we were unable to gain entry. Could they a least put some info on the gate and social media so people wouldn't waste their time travelling there.

Visited this garden/aquatic centre on july 21st,during the centre open hours,on arrival we found the large metal gates to be pulled across and secured, and a police notification, informing persons to alert them,if any suspicious activity is seen.IS THIS CENTRE CLOSED for business?.

Were passing this place and just called in for a look. Had a nice walk around the garden looking at the fountains and a look in the little shop. Decided to go in the cafe and were pleasantly surprised by the lovely home cooked food available

On arriving in the garden centre was very disappointed not many plants , greenhouses stood empty and ornate gardens looked tired and not cared for, we then went to order a coffee from the cafe and stood five mins or more before been served. We then went to look at the ponds on display and fish the smell from them wasn’t pleasant. I think they need to up there game to survive a booming market.

We called in to see what attraction was offered but we were a bit disappolinted at the small range of plants and other stuff that was here.
There was a cafe and scones were lovely but latte was not that good.
Do not think we would return for another visit mind you it was free to look around which is something these days.

Visited yesterday with my family, the gardens and grounds are absolutely beautiful. The little park is fab, my daughter had lots of fun in there. We visited the tea rooms and were greeted with the most miserable and rude staff i have encountered in a long time. My father in law ask about ordering and the young girls were miserable and not helpful at all. We made our order (which for 3 drinks and 4 cakes came to just under £18 and were not the greateat) and sat outside. The cakes and drinks were practically thrown on the table and when I explained a drink was missing it was not received well by staff. After eating we visited the toilets. DO NOT USE THESE FACILITIES. They were beyond disgusting, heaven only knows what was all over the floor but the smell was disgusting, my daughter was wretching while she was trying to use the toilet. Avoid at all costs!! We will return in the summer to enjoy the gardens etc but we will not be eating in the tea rooms again and will make sure we have all been to the toilet before visiting.
