Description: We are family owned restaurant specialising in home-cooked fish, meat and vegetarian dishes. Everything is made on the premises - from the homemade bread and marinated olives, to the petite fours at the end of your meal. We pride ourselves on using as much local fish and produce as possible, using fish that is sustainable and meat of which we know the source and is matured naturally and raised without anitbiotics. Peter Miles started the restaurant in 1999 and is as passionate about it now as he was then. Together with Paolo, Head Chef/Manager and the team at Storm we look forward to welcoming you to our restaurant soon.

“Mixed feelings!”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 6, 2013 via mobile

Will start with the positive! I asked to have the locally caught sea bass filleted, which they happily did, my partner had cod both meals were good, our disappointment was with the young girl who served us, she chewed gum the whole time, when our main course arrived she merely said cod, and put it on the table! A smile or a more friendly approach would have been nice!

Thank you for your review. I am pleased that you enjoyed your meals but I am very disappointed that the service received was not as it should have been. We take this very seriously. Unfortunately we had a member of waiting staff who worked for us for a very short period of time and despite thorough training just wasn't right for us. She is no longer with us. I hope that you might try us again and If you would like to please contact Frances at the restaurant and I will personally handle your booking.

“Best fish ever”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 2, 2013

Our family suggested we go to Storm in Poole having seen a tv programme about the restaurant. A great suggestion! We went on a very busy Friday night . The restaurant is rustic, cosy and unfussy with a small bar area. The staff are efficient, very knowledgeable and friendly, and happy to make suggestions. Predominately a fish restaurant, there were also meat and vegetarian options. There was a mix up over our order, which the staff were quick to explain and apologise about and offer us alternatives. As this meant some delay we were brought complimentary drinks with no fuss. The food was exemplary, succulent scallops ,Dover sole that positively melted in the mouth, and sea bass which was declared the best fish ever eaten by one of our party. Quite pricey (£45 per head ) but we all agreed it was worth it.
Only one criticism....the toilet area could do with an update!

“A Little Fishy Gem”

Such a fabulous restaurant offering beautiful food, the fish freshly caught by the owner and perfectly cooked. The restaurant has a great atmosphere, the service was slow but good food is well worth waiting for. Advanced booking is recommended and I would definitely suggest giving it a go.

“Storm Fish”

Walked past storm one evening thought it looked romantic with the candles then saw it on TV and decided to give it a go. Sadly our candles were not lit so no romance :( but the food and service was excellent. Quite pricey but worth every penny. The toilet really let the side down lock broken and dirty door nothing like the restaraunt. Despite that will definitely dine there again.
