Just left this filthy place!!
We were directly opposite the reception door but unfortunately directly behind us were the foulest mouthed family I have ever had the displeasure in encountering. The mother by far was the worst especially in an evening when she had a drink inside of her. The way she spoke to her daughter and grandchild was bordering on abusive, it was f this and f that all day and into the evening. We were travelling with a 7 year old who doesn't hear this language at home so I do not expect him to hear it on holiday. I complained numerous times to reception but as that was manned by kids had little effect.
Once reception closed gangs of teenagers descended onto the benches and shouted at each other until the early hours.
The bins are overflowing, litter on pitches generally in need of a good scrub!
The pool is cloudy its that dirty, the pool area looks like its not be cleaned since it was built.
We won't be returning!

Stayed here August bank holiday for 3 nights, Ignore all the bad reviews. Thought is was a really nice campsite. Didn't see any rubbish anywhere like some have mentioned. The shop is pretty basic but its a camp site for god sake, take what you need with you. It sells essentials so if you run out the shop is there if you need it there. Didn't charge anything to freeze ice pack or charge devices. Ok, the entertainment room could do with a bit of a refresh but big deal. Would defo go back here.

Looking at other reviews on here it seems the rating of the site is entirely dependent upon the people who are sharing the facilities at the same time. For us, on the whole it was a good experience. Our pitch was a reasonable size, close to everything we wanted. Others around us were respectful. Some disgusting sites in the toilets, but were cleaned up quickly by the poor cleaners. Was perfect as a base for exploring the local area.

We booked for 10 nights from 16th Aug to include the Aug bank holiday. This is a site which is largely uncontrolled, meaning you pick your spot and pitch, and others pitch next to you without any consideration of the 6m separation requirement. The first 7 nights were fine, music was played until around 2200 but then acceptable noise until morning. When the bank holiday weekend started (Fri) the campsite got significantly busier and tents/caravans were crammed in everywhere. The most notable sign was the lack of toilet roll in the toilets 3 mornings in a row. Noise levels during the night over the bank holiday weekend were absolutely unacceptable despite the efforts of the site warden telling people to turn it off. We left a day early to return home to get some sleep. Despite being offered a free weekend as compensation, we won't be returning.

We stayed at this site for 3 nights 20/8 to 23/8. I agree that the site is reasonably basic, lacking in staff visibility and fairly noisy! However, the site is charming with its woodland and nature areas. We found that the toilets were dirty especially the ladies but this was mainly due to the misuse by other campers who really didn't care about how they behaved or the mess they left behind. One child had an accident whilst I was in a cubicle - the mothers response was just to walk away with the child leaving the mess behind for someone else to deal with.
The pitches were not allocated as such, and before we could pitch our tent we did have to litter pick the area, we left the large discarded tarpaulin and shorts though!
The noise was created again by other campers who didn't think twice about having their car stereos blaring, and talking loudly late into the night - even the rain didn't put them off!
Our children loved the pool - heated?? I don't think so, clean - no rather murky but they didn't care and so far they haven't been unwell so I think we got away with it!
The French students - fine whilst they were off site, but the day that they decided to chase each other at full speed round the site, jumping over the swimming pool walls and generally being a nuisance didn't do Anglo-French relations much good.
In all would we return - probably but it would be good to know that the spacing between tents, the rules about campfires and noise were being enforced, and that the toilet block by the reception area had been updated

We had a family of 10 (3 adults, 3 teenagers and 4 young girls) and was allocated a large pitch, this was more than enough room for 1 very large tent, 2 smaller ones and 2 cars. It was at the back of the site but less than a minute walk to loos, showers and laundry, washing up room etc. all of which were of good standard and very clean.
Above these was a bar and games room, although we didn't go in much as too busy with other things it was nicely laid out and good for kids.
Very friendly reception and staff throughout the stay.
There are 2 different parks/adventure play grounds, plenty of play space, pool and a games room, bar, reception with small shop and a lovely lake where you can fish ... Kids loved it so we were happy!
Can't really fault it, bar was loud very late one night but think this was dealt with by staff as didn't happen again!
Very close to Poole and beach and tower park - all worth a visit!
Loved it!!! Will go back :)
