From when we arrived we were warmly met, lovely rooms with cakes in, coffee on arrival, beautiful breakfast outside in fabulous gardens.

Overall excellent - best B&B we have stayed in.

Thanks to Carol’s never ending flexibility we were able to book well in advance this year after finding the White House too late for our motorcycle tour last year. Our ferry from St Malo was very late but on ringing Carol from the French port I was assured that it would be fine and we were instructed on how to access the garage to leave our 2 motorbikes and how to get in our room. It was also reassuring to hear that breakfast was a flexible affair and Carol was happy to make it whenever we were ready – which was rather late seeing as we finally arrived at 2am!

Amazing gardens, beautiful house, fantastic room, enticing looking banana cake (but resisted it at 2am so saved it and really enjoyed it at our 1st stop on the way back to Manchester!), lovely wetroom, refreshments tray would have been fab if we’d been there longer (fresh milk in a flask), breakfast was beautiful and the quality of ingredients really showed.

The hosts Carol and Rob were amazing and really good chatty company, but what made it for me was the feline company in the form of Tom and Tibby! 2 weeks away and we were missing our 3 cats like mad so was lovely to have Tom snuggles, and the paw prints on my bike seat in the morning made me feel like home (they didn’t come off until we washed the bikes!).

The only down side is that it’s in a part of the country we rarely visit, and the ferry route from Poole is only really convenient for getting to bits of France that we’ve already done and dusted.

Booked this for a family trip with my sisters and 80 year old mother, who is not very mobile. Finding B & Bs which can accommodate everyone's needs can be difficult but the White House kept everyone happy with their lovely well design rooms, fantastic wet rooms and great food. We were offered scones and tea in the garden upon our arrival, lovely cakes in the room and then a very tasty breakfast - you could tell they were 'happy' pigs! If I was being really, really picky, I'm not a morning person and the rooms are light in the morning, so if that bothers you much then some eye masks might come in handy. Carol is a great host - very funny. As mentioned above, my mum doesn't leave the house much due to her health issues but, in part due to her hassle free experience at the White House, I think she wouldn't be so daunted if we manage to get her out for a little jaunt again - so thats for that Carol.

We had a great time staying at the White house, really modern and beautiful house.
Our bedroom was perfect, big bed ! spotless and yummy home-made cakes everyday !!
As late birds it was good to know we could get breakfast any time,
Thanks a lot for everything Carol, we would recommend this B&B to everybody :)

My daughter and I stayed at the White House in Dorchester Road Upton for two nights in June for a surprise family event, we were so impressed straight away we rebooked for another event in July!
The B & B is approached via a beautiful garden with home grown vegetables rabbits and wooden decking over water to front door. The White House itself is contemorary in style but warm and inviting at the same time. We were shown to our bedroom called the blackbird room which is a great room with very large double bed, plenty of wardrobes and a wide screen TV much to my daughters execitement. The bathroom en-suite is ultra modern and extremely clean,
Breakfast was as promised all organic and locally sourced produce. We have no hesitation in recommending The While House to anyone looking for a comfortable stay within easy reach of Poole, Wareham, Corfe Castle, Dorchester etc.

From the moment that we arrived we realised that we were visiting a B and B that was not your usual 'run of the mill'. The gardens are laid out with ponds and water features and colour co-ordinated throughtout with the red theme that continues on into the house. We were lucky to arrive on a beautiful summers afternoon and the poppies were infull bloom.
Our welcome was a 5star one - Carol led us up to 'Blackbird' room and when she opened the door I said 'WOW' which is quite unusual for me as I've stayed all over world and am not easily surprised. The room was immaculate and the bathroom was of a very high standard. We were given tea and cake in the garden, although the te making facilities in the bedroom were also generaous with cake and fresh milk available.
The bed was huge and extremely comfortable - we both slept like logs. Breakfast was bespoke - you could have a full English but Carol also offers a huge range of combinations and prides herself on the provinance of the ingredients - you can read about some of the farms, shops etc where the food is purchased. We were lucky that it was such glorious weather and we ate our breakfast outside.
Carol and her husband Rob were really friendly and welcoming.
Only one diasppointing thing about our stay ---- it just wasn't long enough and we are already looking forward to the next visit!!!

We stayed 3 night's in early June with Carol & Robert ( two excellent hosts )
The establishment was of a very high standard in cleanliness and general apperance.
Breakfast was cooked to order with organic and locally sourced produce.
Nothing was too much trouble for are two hosts.
We will be back, i'm sure of that.
