Owner description: Naturally beautiful, with its golden sand, Sandbanks Beach has been designated by the European Commission as one of the few areas in the United Kingdom which has achieved the highest standard of cleanliness. Sandbanks has held the highly coveted international Blue Flag for the past 24 years and offers a designed area for barbeques and swimmers. New slacklining posts have been installed. Equipment is available to hire from the beach office. Activities at Sandbanks include crazy golf, a children's play area and the Sandbanks Beach Cafe. The number 50 Wilts and Dorset bus from Bournemouth Station to Swanage stops near to the beach (generally every half hour in the summer). There is a car park next to the beach that holds 550 cars, 5 for disabled use.

“Wow”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed December 9, 2012

Was brought here for my birthday and the weather for december was glorious allowing me and my partner to really appreciate the beach at such an odd time of year. We had a wonderful stroll along the beach and really fell in love with the location, am going to look into beach hut hire for the new year when my parents come to visit.

“Sandbanks is paradise”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 19, 2012

This is quite porobably the best beach in the world. But then I live here and was dipped in the sea from year dot. Don't go beyond Branksome as it then becomes Bournemouth and then nasty and unpleasant. Marvel at the most expensive properties in Europe , which will be under water fairly soon. Studland is even better with great pubs....I don't recommend any on the Poole side. Good fishing marks and very relaxing.

“The Best Beach in the World”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 11, 2012

The sand is so clean, silky and lovely to sit on that once you are there you will never wish to leave. The sea is clean and safe to swim in, there are lifeguards there to help. The Sandbanks Hotel is a great place to eat in, so is the Jazz cafe.

“Lovely Beach”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 6, 2012

This is really a lovely safe beach for children, unfortunately it does get very busy and it is expensive to park the car, so would suggest joining others to share parking and petrol or use public transport. Plently of facilities. Just need the sunsine

“Lovely beach”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 5, 2012

One of the cleanest and nicest beaches I have ever visited. It's quite expensive to park but if you venture just outside there's free parking on a few roads. There's mini golf and a park for kids too. A nice big beach where you can walk all the way to Bournemouth so it doesn't get too crowded
