My wife and I have stayed in numerous Premier Inns so you know what to expect - more or less. I booked up 1 night back in April on a £25 offer. Our arrival date was Fri July 19th. Our check in was trouble free with very polite reception staff who went overboard to make you feel welcome. Our room was very clean although the shower was unusable because it only delivered scolding water.i didn't report it because we were only staying one night - so we were forced to use the bath.
The hotel has a pub/restaurant attached - but we chose to have our evening meal in Poole which is only a 10 minute drive but too far to walk- I therefore cannot comment on this facility. Our biggest disappointment was the temperature in our room was a staggering 29c - it was not a good nights sleep for us. Whist there was a fan in the room, this simply moves the same air around- it doesn't reduce the temperature.. There is no air con in any rooms. Windows can only open a minimal distance.
I believe Whitbreads were very shortsighted during the design and build process in omitting this crucial facility in a not that old building.
All in all, good value for money but I will check next time that when staying again during the summer months that the hotel has air temperature control.

Room Tip: Can be a bit noisy from traffic

2nd time we have stopped here as a base. All staff were excellent, even when a member of our party needed to visit a doctor in the middle of the night, providing cups of coffee and friendly support.Well done Chris and Kevin. The food is of a very good quality, breakfasts excellent value as always, even down to poached eggs done exactly as required, thank you Sharney. We will certainly go back to this Premier when in the area, and the location is not as noisy as you think it might be.Premier Inn is always the first place we look to stop when on our travels, always good value for money with well trained staff

I generally find big chain hotels impersonal and much the same. This premier inn was so much better, lovely staff who were great with our two children, and great location for the ferry to gurnsey.
Room was spotless and we had dinner in the restaurant, excellent service ,and the childrens meal was lovely and reasonable
would definitley recommend .

Fourth time I've stayed here. Its really for ferry passengers staying the night before the morning crossing to France or C.I. and for that purpose its very good. The staff are friendly, the rooms clean and of reasonable size and the restaurant serves pretty good food.

Its a bit noisy if your room faces the car park and there is no air con in the rooms (there is in the restaurant)

Excellent value

Dirty/Dusty Carpet.
Lumpy bed as two beds joined in middle, very uneven and terrible to sleep in.
Flat pillows.
Room Temperature was far to hot and no air con so was terrible to sleep in, couldn't cool it down even with a room fan.
All staff were not fluent in English language, breakfast staff couldn't be understood at all.

We found this premier inn to be good value with friendly staff. The fire alarm went off and we were reimbursed for our stay as a result of their good sleep policy. The staff were very apologetic. The rooms are clean and beds are comfy. Breakfast was good, with hot buffet and friendly service. All in all would recommend this place. It's nothing fancy, but good, clean accommodation with a smile. We stayed one night and our children have asked if we can go back as they loved the breakfast : ) the location is not great but is fine for a night or two if you are in the area and need a base.
