Description: We serve fabulous homemade food, locally sourced where we can. Our menu will change with the seasons and we offer a small select wine list and bar. We are set in an historic Grade II listed Tudor building which was once owned by a wealthy merchant, Thomas Byngley, who became Mayor of Poole in 1555, hence our name. The painted ceiling in our dining room is noteworthy and believed to have been painted c.1830.

My husband and I ate here on our 4th Wedding Anniversary and we were very impressed. After reading the reviews we were excited to try it out and it certainly lived up to its expectations. The bistro itself is quite small and intimate and the service was faultless. The menu, although not huge, gave enough of a choice to cater for everyone and food was delicious, homemade with a great deal of care and time put into the presentation of it. Prices were reasonable if not going with the fixed menu. Everyone in the bistro seemed impressed with their food and the service. Nice little touch with the homemade chocolates at the end of the meal. This is a really lovely place with a relaxed atmosphere and ambiance and I really recommend it, especially for a special occasion.

My partner and I ate here tonight for the first time.
What a superb place. From the presentation of the menu to the complementary hand made chocolates at the end of an unhurried evening, everything shouted quality. Not too expensive and certainly not pretentious.Just right. Will be back.

Having been to Bingley's before and were totally satisfied we could not resist coming back when a dear friend stayed with us for a few days.
Like us he was overcome with not only the food but the atmosphere, the food, the service, and the whole ambience.
Although this Bistro can seat about 20 diners it is best to book as you may be disappointed if you just turn up as it is very popular.
Well done again Bingley's, we look forward to our next visit.

Went to this restaurant with friends last weekend and suffered a first class experience :-).

I had the white bait for starter followed by Sole from the specials board with fries and peas. Desert was a good portion of sticky toffee pudding.

The food came when expected with all being great quality and freshly cooked. The server/host was attentive without being over powering. Nothing was to much trouble for the staff which is nice especially when you want to change slightly whats on the menu.

Prices were more than fair for what we had

We will return
