We visited Bingley's Bistro on a very wet night in September. The Host could not have been more welcoming, and, although we hadn't booked, he re-arranged his reserved tables to accommodate us. We ordered from the "prix fixe" menu at £13 for two courses and chose cauliflower and stilton soup and cheese soufflé to start. The soup was delicious and the soufflé light and full of flavour. I had mussels for my main course, and just managed to finish them as there were so many. My wife chose the beef and mushroom pie which again was presented perfectly on a light butternut squash puree with pureed parsnip on the side. We washed the whole lot down with a bottle of Penny Lane Sauvignon Blanc. Brilliant food, brilliant value and wonderful service - if you miss this you will regret it.
