Visited the lighthouse theatre in Poole a couple of weeks ago.
On arrival, parking instructions were extremely poor, on our arrival at 1850, for a 1930 hours show, on arrival the car park was just being opened. As we were visitors to the town, asked about charges, was told by person opening car park that it was free.
So parked car and headed to theatre, collected tickets,(ordered on line),that bit was good.Very efficient and very pleasant persons.
Then headed for refreshment queue, was quite long, but more relevant was not moving.Would think that to get dinner here, one would have to go an evening before!!
Left queue, after no movement for 15 minutes,(approx), found coffee/tea servers. Got a very small cup of tea for about £2.00.
Watched show, returned to car, to find that we had a parking ticket.
A miserable end, to a not very enjoyable evening, not to be repeated in a hurry.
We travel the country visiting theatres, and they do tend to be very expensive for refreshments etc., but I thought that this evening really took the biscuit.
