Great place to take the kids for a bit of free fun.
There are all sorts of places to explore, from formal gardens to wooded copses, you can watch birds in the harbour from a special hut on stilts, and you can buy an ice cream or a cuppa when the need arises.

Not far from Poole town Centre the grounds offer picnic areas and stunning views of the Harbour. There is a T shop which serves Drinks and light snacks.

This is the grounds of a big house and you can stroll around, have a cup of tea or some lunch in the cafe, or follow the trails to see the wildlife. The park is on the edge of Holes Bay which is an area of wetland where many wild birds visit. There is a hide where you can birdwatch. Parking and entry is free.

The gardens are always kept beautifully and I never get tired of wandering around amongst the trees, down to the marshy area with bird hides.
The now revamped Peacock cafe an Gallery are also excellent community resources. There is a great variety of cake and other food on offer which professionally served by people with learning disabilities. Good for Poole Borough.! They do well to offer employment to the disadvantaged.
The Gallery is great too - putting on a good variety of frequently changing exhibitions.
Toilet facilities are excellent too.
A family triendly free park where you can feed the ducks, spot birds, walk the dog, play boule (petanque), have a pic-nic, look at art and get a nice cup of tea. Great.
