Owner description: Splashdown Waterpark is a great day out for family and friends. There’s something for everyone – from big kids to little ones – with some of the UK’s most exciting waterflumes. For the thrill-seekers, brave the Screamer with its sheer vertical drop. Plunge into darkness on the Black Thunder. And hold on to your pants as you shoot down the Spacebowl like a human pinball. Or if that sounds a bit like hard work, just go with the flow on the Mississippi Drifter. There’s the fabulous Little Buccaneers SplashZone with a starter flume, water play area and Buccaneer Bay, our toddler swimming pool. And, on a hot summer’s day, Buccaneer Beach is the perfect spot for a splash with the little ones. There’s even somewhere to play for little landlubbers. We’re open all year with indoor rides in the winter. In the spring, we take the slide outside where the Mississippi pours into the Grand Canyon. And, in May, bring on the awesome Screamer Tower – it’s fluming good fun! What are you waiting for?

“Better guide and explanation of rides needed”
Reviewed September 10, 2013

Being first time visitors, we could not get a member of staff who will explain how the whole thing works. There were queues for different rides and quite confusing at times. But once we got going, all was ok eventually. You need to love water and be able to swim for many of the rides. Also it is too expensive for the limited rides it offered. All in all, good for water loving kids but bad for your pocket.

“We had a Great Time!”
Reviewed September 3, 2013

I took my sons here for a couple of hours on a dull day and they loved it. It was quite expensive, but we had a great time.

“Great fun, be smart about visit times!”
Reviewed August 30, 2013 via mobile

Really enjoyed splash down, visited with three children. Took advantage of the all day ticket , arrived at 8.50 before it opened. The facility opened at 9 and didn't get busy until around 11am. Two hours was fine as we were all ready for a break. We then headed back around 7 pm. It was quiet and we went on everything many times with practically no queuing! All in all good fun!

“Dont bother going if it's raining . . place gets packed with long queues.”

Dont bother going if it's raining . . place gets packed with long queues.

Expensive for a couple of hours of fun but when busy the clock is ticking on your wrist band and the queues for each water attraction can be long wasting valuable time alowing you limited rides in the time period.

You also have to pay to stay in the complex if you do not wish to go in the attraction.

I don't feel it's worth the money, it's a small complex with a time limit and limited people allowed in the facility so you could wait some time to be allowed to enter the attraction then waiting again to get on each ride.
