“A Hidden Secret”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 4, 2014

South Deep Café really is a hidden secret. Sunday breakfast was excellent, we both had the Full English. Service was very good, and it is always busy which also is a good sign. Great in the Summer to also sit out on the decking.

“Good coffee, nice atmosphere”

Good quality coffee. Did not try food, but menu looked interesting. Choice of seating, in or outside on a fenced decking.

“Hidden Away in a Boat Yard”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 26, 2014

Visited her many times and always has good food and service. It has now been redecarated, and feels more spacious.
Went for Breakfast, and had a lovely meal, with good service. The food is Fresh and tasty, despite not doing "Baked Beans"

“A great discovery”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 22, 2014

This little place, apparently known as the 'Shack' locally is a little oasis hidden away in a marina boatyard. This was our first visit. We dropped in for lunch at 12.30 on a Saturday and the place was buzzing. We only just managed to get a table as most were pre booked. It is simply furnished with friendly staff and a lot going on in the little kitchen in the back. I had one of the specials, a beetroot marinated salmon steak with fishcake and leaves. My husband had another special, sausages with slow cooked green veg and potatoes. We finished with a sticky toffee cake and ice-cream to share and great coffee. The food was honestly priced and we enjoyed the rustic seaside feel of the place. Plenty of people were sitting outside in the sun with views over the water. We'll be back but will probably pre-book.

“Best Breakfast in Dorset!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed December 1, 2013

South deep has never let us down, great food beyond the mass produced rubbish on offer elsewhere. Just booked Xmas dinner and looking forward to it. A gem of a place and a rare example in this country of getting what you pay for.
