House hunting in the area we have been delighted to find Harrys bar, always stopping for coffee and a tea cake.
Took friends with us this week for lunch lasagne was so delicious but the hamburgers were a total disappointment. Frozen pack ones .. looked like a lump of cardboard.... such a shame.
Won't stop us visiting again as everyone is so friendly.

Great little place, no pretence, just natural friendliness. Tim is a wealth of knowledge and can even recommend a treatment to get red wine out of cotton trousers successfully (thanks Tim). Scrambled egg with smoked salmon for breakfast is just perfect.
Chef will even do a dish that may not be on the menu as long as the ingredients are available!
Must go back...soon.

Wanted a local restaurant after a long day on the beach, that would happily take 2 tired children. After reading reviews on Harry's, we decided to give it a go. Straight away we were welcomed and given menus, one specifically that would meet the Children's taste (not burgers, fish fingers & chips etc), but nice home cooked food. We ordered our starters and mains and even though the owner was multi tasking with being, front of house, chef and bar man, the starters arrived in a good time and perfectly presented. The mains followed and again, very well cooked and presented, the whole meal was superb, everyone of us inc kids were delighted with our choices. We were that impressed we went back later on in the week, (much to the kids delight, they love the place) and the service and food was still delivered at a high standard. Harry's is a gem of a place, great atmosphere with excellent food and we will return.

This bar was along a small parade of shops and if anything understated. This is a shame as it has a wonderful atmosphere and somehow combines being a bar with having a truly exception restaurant. A rare thing these days. The pudding menus is something to behold.Probably the best we've come across.
It is quiet in the evening but probably busy during the day.
You need to check it out. A mile further west brings you out at the ferry and inner harbour which is really nice but you need to get there early to park.
