We stopped for 2 separate nights at this hotel before and after ferry trip to Guernsey. The staff were friendly and helpful and both rooms were comfortable and spotlessly clean. Little niggles prevent an "excellent" report - in room 17 on the first night the bath/shower tap was difficult to work and we got only tepid water, in room 20 on the 2nd night there was no signal on the television. At the weekend breakfast is served from 8 o'clock - as we needed to be away before that we were only able to have a "continental" breakfast - this consisted of only cereals, toast and tinned fruit. On our 2nd visit we had the full breakfast which was well cooked. The 2 ladies who served us on this occasion said they were understaffed but remained cheerful and helpful -providing individually cooked meals as the buffet was not ready on time. There was good parking at the rear of the hotel which was well located for our purpose and we would use it again.

We had a really good value DBB rate of £90 , Location is an eay walk into shops and then further onto the Quay. Our room was lovely and big on ground floor , evening meal was lovely and the food and staff were very good. Decor is dated , but Hotel all clean and staff friendly which is more important. My only gripes are , cups dirty for breakfast, but quickly replaced with a smile, no milk or butter on the table, but quickly sorted with a smile, no morning newspaper , but correctly offered to go and get one ! ( all good service, all avoidable )

Room Tip: Rooms at back will be quieter

Arrived at the Arndale Court Hotel in Poole for an overnight stay to watch The Proclaimers in concert. See other review. First room was on ground floor, a bit small, but as we like to sleep with windows open asked for a room on the first floor. Was shown to the room above, same size, but there was a strong smell of cigarette smoke and a rather wet and dirty towel was left in the chest of drawers. So went to reception again and was then given a much larger room which was really nice. Had a really good sleep and a decent breakfast the following morning. Can we both say a special thank you to Bruno who sorted out all of the problems with a cheerful and professional manner after what could have been a disaster. Enjoyed the concert by the way.

Room Tip: Road side rooms can be very noisy as road is very busy. Much quieter on other side of hotel

Stayed here for two nights in a twin room. Beds were comfortable, and it was very quiet overnight. The room was clean and we had a good stay. The decor was a little dated but that was trivial. The staff were all very friendly and the good was excellent. With a free carpark and easy walking to the harbour, this was a great place to stay.

This was an unplanned stay here as we should have been catching the ferry to Guernsey which we missed (turned out to be fortunate)
Friendly receptionist was very welcoming.
I had to ask for an extra towel as there was only one bath towel and the gentleman on reception took my room number and then bought a full set straight to our room (other hotels just give you the towels and expect you to walk through with them) The room was a little dated but was clean and there was a teapot so was nice to have a pot of tea instead of making it in the cups. Bed was comfortable and we slept very well (room on the front of the hotel)
We were catching a ferry the next morning and had to get up early ready to leave at 05:00, we were with some companions who were not catching the ferry but we needed to take some of their belongings with us and we discussing them leaving their bags at reception for us the next morning. This conversation took place in reception and the receptionist overheard and said he was unable to offer a full breakfast but could offer a continental one for us and asked us what time we would need it. The next morning at 04:45AM we were in the dining room, there was fruit, cereal, fruit juices, a pot of coffee. The receptionist came through from the kitchen and offered to make some toast if we wanted and also asked if we want tea instead of coffee. This was obviously something they just do there and was not treated like they were going out of their way - brilliant!! Thanks we really appreciated it. We normally stop at the Premier Inn when catching ferries - if there is a room here available I won't be stopping there again!
Our companions also stated that they had not had any better service there than anywhere else in the world (and he is used to stopping and some very high-end hotels!)
