We were in Bournemouth for the first time in 30 years and decided to revisit Compton Acres which had happy memories. Firstly it seemed so much smaller than we remembered and now seems to be surrounded by blocks of flats, they are even about to build a new block in the car park!
Our visit took 1 hour during which time not another person was seen! Whilst appreciating March does not see any garden at its best, the whole place looked very tired although on a positive note the tea room, shop and entrance appear to have been modernised.
