“Beautifull gardens any time of year”
Reviewed January 17, 2013

If you are staying anywhere near Poole or Bournmouth try not to miss out on these beautifull gardens, no matterwhat time of the year.

I have been fortunate enough to visit these gardens in each of the seasons and there is no doubt that on each occasion the premisis is wonderful in a different way. Spring and summer are obviously the most awsome as is the autumn, but the winter also has its special charm. It has a spectacular Japanese Garden towards the end of your walk that will charm and relax all who enter. A lovely cafe on the entrance/exit is very pleasant and then, refreshed you can visit the weel stocked shop.

“Breathtaking”
Reviewed January 5, 2013

Always a joy to visit, although I would suggest Spring is the better season due to the range of Acid loving plants on offer that are in bloom. Cafe is great, Italian garden is popular with photographers although my favourite is the Japanese garden. Compton Acres have made steps to ensure the kids are entertained by providing a small play area but would suggest leaving them at home if possible and enjoying the scenery in quiet!

“Fantastic gardens”
Reviewed December 5, 2012

Always love Compton Acres because the gardens are very pretty throughout the year and manageable in size unlike some massive botanical gardens. Its not cheap, however. They have really nice shops, again not cheap.

“Only visited for a Craft Show”
Reviewed November 26, 2012

Great craft show and want to return to see the gardens. Carparking difficult for disabled as on a slope. Restaurant was lovely and Cheese on toast was amazing.
