“If I could give less I would”
1 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 11, 2014

Ordered a take away on Friday evening. Chicken shashlic and chicken korma with sag bhaji. The chicken was served in bright red long rubbery strips and was inedible even by my dog. No taste to it. Don't know what the sag bhaji was like as they gave me some inedible thing with carrots and peas,. AVOID AVOID AVOID

“Very disappointing meal”
1 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 11, 2014 via mobile

We are local people who regularly eat out in poole and really do enjoy and cooking Indian/Asian food. On top of that we have always recommended this restaurant. Not anymore. Starters were ok, but the mains were insulting, we had jalfrezi and tikka masala sauce as a side, dopiaza, bhuna and a Mughlai, all were the right colour but apart from the heat of the dishes they had no depth of flavour or spice, not good, goodness knows if the main chef was off they should make sure care and attention is made by management, really not good enough, what restaurant can afford to do this in this competitive restaurant area. We will not go back as we were asked 'are you happy with your meal' we said no, and explained politely what was wrong. We didn't 't want or ask for a deduction, we just hope that instead of smiling and given chocolate? They actually take a long hard look at this and make sure that it as addressed as people's hard earned money will be spent elsewhere, it's not just a 'drunks curry house joint' but if they are not careful it will end up so. It was not a busy night, so no excuse can be made there and so maybe our compliant is not new, and no changes have been made by the management. Spend your money elsewhere! Ps. (As this rant is being done the day after, bad tummys are rife through the night)

“Great restaurant”

All round good restaurant, delicious food, hot food, good service and friendly staff! Like the fact they use things on the table to heat your food unlike other Indian restaurants in the area

“Fantastic”

11of us had a great evening at tandoori nights, food was perfect and the service was great but the waiter that served us had a great sense of humour which went down well with our group. Will definitely be going back there again.

“Is the quality slipping?”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 1, 2014

On visits to Poole we usually visit this restaurant and generally we have been pleased. However on our recent visit just after xmas we were dissappointed. The sevice seemed off and the usual attention to detail was not there.
Added to this the Bhuna and Jalfrezi that we ordered lacked any depth of flavour and very little intensity of spices.Thet were almost more akin to a casserole than a spicy curry
