Lucky enough to get a recommendation from a man at the Poole Museum and nearly walked past it - an unassuming doorway between shop fronts. Weather not good so we were taken to the room at the back of the courtyard - like our very own private tea room !
Very cosy, friendly and a must for tea-lovers. Superb cream tea with home-made cakes & scones. We'll be back.

I visited the courtyard with my friend Jackie, we had the "best cream tea" we have ever had, warm freshly cooked scones and so very very tasty, plenty of jam and loads of clotted cream. I have had cream teas in the past and there just isn't enough cream but not at the courtyard, fantastic little place hidden away, proper little tea shop. Everything cooked freshly on the premises. I recommend this little gem of a place to everyone. The staff are amazingly friendly too. Well done the courtyard and keep up the excellent work. Wonderful experience.

This place is the finest tea room I've ever been in. It's olde-worlde style, eclectic decor, and excellent location combined with an amazing range of teas make this a real gem. Friendly, attentive, knowledgable staff, the chance to have the same tea that Scott drank in 1910 (not the same batch.....that would be nasty by now, but the same spec), fantastic wrought iron teapots, a menu that had page after page of tea, and then tagged coffee on at the end, almost as if it were an afterthought!! Brilliant and thoroughly charming. If you go to Poole or the area, and like a good cup of tea....GO HERE!

We went here for lunch after reading TripAdvisor reviews and it was definitely worth it. It felt like being in someones house but this just gave it a nice homely feel. It took the term 'tea room' to a whole new level and as a fond tea lover the variety was excellent as were the prices. The food was simple but homemade and that was obvious to a keen foodie. The jacket potatoes had been rubbed in salt and oil, the salad had a choice of dressing and scones were made with rustic wholemeal flour. What a treat. I really could go on about it but I prefer you all stop rrading this and go visit it now!

We've been visiting Poole for years but only just discovered this little jewel. A beautiful little place. Everything was served freshly made and beautifully cooked. Such a joy to find somewhere that prides itself so highly and takes time to serve beautiful ingredients so perfectly. The teapots were a final touch of luxury. Lovely.
