Have stayed here before, in their other self catering cottage. Opted for the smaller cottage this time, absolutely spot on for my Mum & I. Great location for Chines, Westbourne, Poole & Sandbanks beaches.
Whilst we were there in December, had 2 great days & 2 days of rain. Didn't matter as plenty to see & do.
Cottage lovely & comfortable, both rooms en suite. Lots of facilities for the less mobile of us. I am registered disabled. Would recommend the cottages again & again.
Big thanks to our hosts, lovely people to deal with.

Many thanks for the response. So pleased that the apartment was suitable for you and that despite the inclement weather, you still enjoyed your stay. Best wishes to you both for Christmas and 2013.

Lovely place to stay with very friendly accommodating hosts. Check in time was 3.00 pm but we arrived 3 hours earlier and were given access to our room.
Very good choice of food at breakfast and the fresh fruit was a real bonus. The walk to Bournemouth along the undercliff road is very pleasant. We were going to catch the number 50 bus back but as the chain ferry was being refurbished we had an extra walk. Not a problem though.
We'll be back.

Thank you very much for your comments such comments are very encouraging to us.
I am so sorry I forgot about the bus changes due to the ferry being out of action - you certainly looked as if you had enjoyed your walk(s) by the time you got back!!

Best wishes.

This B&B is located in an upscale area of the town. It wasn't as close to the beach as I had hoped but it was an easy drive to get there and well worthwhile to walk along the promenade. The owner was very friendly and most accommodating when we arrived. Our room was very clean although crowded with large white furniture which was somewhat worn. In addition, the TV was quite small. But the bed was wonderful and the duvet and pillows very cozy. The water pressure wasn't great from the sink taps but the shower was functional if you turned a gadget on to increase the water pressure. The house itself was exceptionally beautiful--especially the sitting room which had large comfortable sofas, wonderful paintings, ornate lamps and other decorative ornaments. The dining room was spacious, the service great and the breakfast wonderful. Fresh fruit, yogurt, cereals and a full English breakfast were all options. All in all it was a positive experience and I would recommend staying here.

Many thanks for taking the time to write a review. We are always pleased to receive positive comments and if we have a negative, we try to rectify. One comment I would make is that the furniture in the bedroom is Shabby Chic and such furniture when purchased is made to look old and 'distrseed'. When purchased two years ago it was the same as it is today and although my wife appreciates 'the character', I have to say I am less enthusiatic!

Best wishes.

My fiancee and I made a late booking into this hotel and were lucky enough to have a four poster suite. The hotel was easy to find, and once through the door we were welcomed by a warm and friendly smile from the hostess. Our room was fantastic, spacious, very clean and beautifully decorated to a very high standard. There was a selection of tea, coffee and hot chocolate, together with some lovely biscuits available in the room each day. At breakfast there was a lovely selection of fresh fruit, cereals, yoghurt, as well as a choice of a full english breakfast and toast which was cooked to perfection. Nothing was too much for our hosts Keith and Barbara and were happy to recommend some nice restaurants within Poole and Sandbanks. An additional welcome was their cat Charlie, who was up for a bit of fuss and came to greet us in a morning, which was lovely as we missed our 4. We would describe the Grovefield Manor as a gorgeous victorian building, with a touch of modern opulence throughout. We were recommended to stay here by friends and likewise wouldy recommend it to our family and friends or anyone who was thinking of staying there. We will stay there again without a doubt. A home from home welcome, first class quality and value for money indeed.

Many thanks Carol and it was lovely to meet you both. I have only just registered with TripAdvisor to respond to comments and it appears that as I am going through the list, I am going to have to make a very regular apology for Charlie. He seems to be able to detect guests that will devote part of their holiday to him!! Best wishes, Keith

Grovefield Manor is everything you would wish for in an upmarket guest house. Amazingly located, one road from the beautiful sandy beach. There is a pub close by and a really nice cafe/restaurant at the end of the road. The hotel is spotless and modern, the room was comfortable, colour co-ordinated and quiet. The breakfast was excellent, good quality food, lots of selection and really nice service from a nice young lady. Lots of free parking and wifi. The hotel even has a cute cat who was waiting outside our room for us every morning. Would definately recommend and definately return in the future

My son and I have just stayed at Grovefield Manor for the second year running. I cannot recommend it highly enough. We have stayed in many B&Bs and hotels over the years, all of which have fallen short in many areas. However, Grovefield Manor is faultless in every aspect. It is a beautiful property, very well maintained and beautifully presented with good size, tastefully appointed rooms. The breakfasts are generous and delicious and you can pick and choose from a range of cooked items which is ideal for fussy kids. Set in an affluent and quiet residential road, the location is superb with arguably britains best beach a 5 minute walk away and Poole and Bournemouth centre both within a 10-15 minute drive. There is also plenty of on site parking and a nice pub a short walk away that serves good food. Keith and Barabra are the perfect hosts, friendly and welcoming, attentive and helpful, but discreet and not overbearing like some places we've stayed. If you are seeking accommodation in this area then you'll struggle to find better. We're looking forward to our next visit already.

Many thanks Derek for your review. I have only just registered with TripAdvisor and found that I can do such. It was good to see you again but due to us being so busy there is never enough time to chat.

Best wishes to you and Luke and certainly hope to see you again next year?
