“Wow...... Perfect birthday!”
Reviewed October 24, 2012 via mobile

I love this restaurant!
We have been here twice now, once in april 2012 and once last night my birthday 23rd October. Both meals have been fantastic! We had a bottle of prosecco to start. Nice light wine and priced only at £21 good value! Then followed it with the goats cheese tartlet (I have uploaded a picture) and my fiancé had the cheese souflay! WoW! We then had a half bottle of Chanti Classico priced at £15 and another half bottle if white, can't quite remember. But both we very good! For mains i had fillet steak with Portobello mushrooms with LOADS Of yummy side dishes. My fiancé had the Dover sole. That was amazing! I'm having that next time! Followed with coffee and liquors. Final cost £121 good value if you look at what we had! Perfect birthday meal! Thank you to the waiting staff and chefs...... Again WOW

“Fantastic Food! A Hidden Gem! Worth every penny!”
Reviewed September 30, 2012

Visited Dorset for a weekend break with my parents, we wanted to go out somewhere for a nice meal in our first night (Friday)and a friendly local in our hotel recommended Isabels. And boy were we glad he did!! We phoned & were able to book a table. It is a small comfortable friendly place serving French/English cuisine. We were seated in the Garden Room which was downstairs, the main area upstairs was quite dimly lit with red lighting- it was made up of little booth's -very french! It would be nice for a couple-looking for a romantic evening but maybe a little dark for my taste. I was glad we were in the Garden Room, it was light and airy with a lovely atmosphere. The service was excellent &we were given a plate of canapés to start which was a nice touch. Followed by a basket of freshly baked bread& Melba toast. A really lovely menu with plenty of choice for all! We had the full 3 courses & the portions were huge! Everyone's meals were beautifully presented& cooked to perfection. The fillet steak was gorgeous! Well worth a visit if your visiting the area-we had about a 20 minute drive to get there from our hotel but it was well worth it! Perfect place for a special occasion or just for those who enjoy good food! Best to book in advance as it was pretty busy, the kind of place where you can dress up if you like too! Already looking forward to going back on our next trip to Dorset!!

“Hands down the best restaurant in Poole and Bournemouth”
Reviewed September 21, 2012

The food, staff and ambiance of this restaurant make this, hands down, our favourite restaurant in Poole and Bournemouth. Some say that it's on the expensive side and I agree it's not cheap but you get what you pay for so if you're looking for somwhere for a special occasion or even if you just want to guarentee an excellent dining experience Isabels will not disappoint.
