It was a long time since I was last at this restaurant but recall it as serving good food and being inbredibly busy at the weekend - packed out and very hot. We went on a Thursday this time; still busy but comfortable. The food my friend and I had was excellent, very tasty - my main curry dish, labelled as "fairly hot", was certainly hot but also incredibly tasty. Service wasvery pleasant even if a little on the slow side. The overall cost was very reasonable, good value for money. Well worth a visit. Should it be five blobs rather than four?

This place has potential to be a little special. The service was inconsistent during my stay. Also waited a while for food.

I also noticed something about the mineral water - as mentioned by another reviewer. Maybe not opened fresh. I actually had two of them. The water tasted OK though. Beware that possible trick.

Food - prawn poori starter was a bit bland. Main course was actually not bad.

I used this restaurant for a numbers of years and the quality of food was always excellent, but over the last few years the quality of hygiene, food taste and overall service has dropped very low.
Rice very greasy, naan bread has black bits on the bottom of it form the clay ovens, chicken tikka very watery as well as being to sweet with coconut milk.
jalfrezi is too oily. St
aff are friendly but the chef or chefs are certainly not up to scratch.

The food overall was bland and poorly presented. There was nothing authentic to this meal. Having ordered sparkling water, I was served from a previously opened bottle of Hildon Spring water, of which the label on the bottle was discoloured and peeling off! Clearly the bottle had been refilled and re-used!! Staff removed unused cutlery, wiping it on their clothing before returning it to the utility drawer in order that it can be re-used without being washed!! I wouldn't let an animal eat here! There should be a health risk with any order!!

A group of us ladies joined our friend for her hen night and had an absolutely superb meal. The standard of the food was excellent and was matched by the service. The atmosphere was relaxed and we all had a good time. It was so nice as a largish party to be able to linger at the table chattering over coffee and liquers. Altogether and excellent evening.
