“Excellent food at reasonable prices”
Reviewed October 25, 2013

Dined here for the first time with friends who had been previously. It would be difficult to find fault with either the food or the service. The set menu is good particularly good value (3 courses £17). I had perfectly cooked chicken livers to start and the others had the seafood platter, which they loved. All main courses were perfectly cooked, and my beef and mushroom suet pudding was very tasty. Service was slick but unobtrusive and the restaurant has a good ambience.

“Would definitely recommend”
Reviewed October 8, 2013

Great menu lots of choices. Food was very well presented and tasty, due to personal choice did not like liver served lighly cooked( was not aware of this when ordered) ., This was replaced by another dish which was lovely with no additional charge and the service was extremely good, if a little slow initially, but we were not in a rush. Takes Taste card which made cost very reasonable as 2 for 1 on main meal.

“Easily overlooked”
Reviewed October 8, 2013

Truth be told we tried this place because it offered Tastecard savings and we liked the look of the food on offer. I'm pleased we did, because I doubt we would have spotted it otherwise as it is slightly off the centre of Ipswich. The meal was excellent, all three courses, one of the best meals out I've had in while. I will happily return and pay full price.

“Fantastic find! Can't wait to return!”
Reviewed October 2, 2013

Quite by chance my husband and I found this restaurant and I'm so glad we did!

The service was impecable, the atmosphere and decor were superb and the food delicious.

We enjoyed a delictable plate of cured meats and breads to start and then neither of us could resist the lamb with dauphinoise potatoes and sugarsnap peas as a main. I'm afraid we can't comment on desert as neither of us had any room left!

The wine was lovely and the on tap beer made a great change away from the standard brands.

Not a cheap meal by any means, but well worth every penny and we'll be making a point of returning - as soon as we can get a babysitter again!
